This hotel is perfect if you look for a sheltered and quiet place to relax, with short walking distance to the beach or nearby restaurants.
We arrived by car, and there is free parking all around the hotel in the street (a lot of free parking in the same area of Alicante).
The breakfast was both tasteful and fresh, with good variation of food (fruit, eggs, bacon, sausages, vegetables, plenty of bread and sweet donuts and cakes/danish pastry, yoghurt, juices etc). The small dishes served before dinner were also very nice (freshly baked). Our only mishap was the lunch the first day when 2 of 5 main courses were with fish partly raw in the middle (they fixed this quickly in the kitchen, and the server did a very good job in keeping us satisfied).

The rooms we had vere perfect for a short to medium stay, very clean with separate balconies and proper size modern bathroom with large shower.

The pool area is quiet and sheltered even if it is windy outside, hence a warm and nice experience. Proper cleaning every day during the week is a good sign of people taking care of the nice property. It also felt good to see the solar panels on the roof, together with the rustic impression and artistic round central tower this made the hotel atmosphere warm and contemporary.

Will we come back? Oh yes, we will, and several of the restaurants nearby will also be visited. No need to drive to central Alicante for nice restaurants, suggest you start with nearby Italian/ Spanish / Asian / Grill locations, most of them nearby the tram and the roundabout with the tram station.

We opted for late check out, worked fine and gave us a relaxed day before leaving quite late. Next time we will probably also rent bikes or stand up paddle boards; the people in the reception would help you if necessary.

We recently stayed at the hotel for a long weekend. The whole experience was great from start to finish. Staff were very helpful and friendly and great attention to detail, nothing was too much bother and service was always with a smile. The buffet breakfast was amazing, a lot of variety. Rooms were clean and a good size. We asked for a room with a sea view and that's exactly what we got. The pool area was sanatized everyday (because of covid measures). I would recommend the hotel to anyone, families, solo and couples.

My husband and I stayed for 1 night at this charming hotel. Our room, 201, was found through a separate private door so we had no footfall passing us. This made for a very peaceful night. The room itself was very basic, but spotlessly clean and comfortable. We should have asked for extra pillows, but this is a personal opinion. As with most Spanish hotels, there was no kettle etc, but we always take our own so this was not a problem. On arrival we had lunch off the snack menu, which was delicious and inexpensive. Dinner is no longer buffet-style due to Covid-19 restrictions, but the limited choice was more than adequate, and the food was hot and freshly cooked. Unfortunately we had to leave very early in the morning, but a picnic breakfast was provided. The pool area was small but seemed perfect for the size of the hotel. Would I re-visit?? Yes, most certainly.

The hotel is within a largely residential area, a one hour walk or 20 minute bus ride. So very much on the outskirts of Alicante city. The rooms are small but functional with excellent shower.
The main issue we experienced was the noise levels between room and externally. The rooms looking on to the road have the added distraction of a refuse truck at 02.15 every morning.
The breakfast is lacking in both choice and quality. Cold items and disgusting coffee from a machine.
We left 5 days early which I think says it all really!

Visited this with my family. Overall service was ok, but breakfast in weekend suddenly was at different hours and no one was willing to do anything. Dinner at night was buffet diner or low quality and definitely not worth €20 per person. Rooms were clean but very small

A very good hotel with great selections for breakfast, (savoury, sweet & lots of other options).
The room size is quite big even with the extra bed in the room. Clean and lovely swimming pool, high speed WIFI, staff were very friendly and helpful, rooms were spotless.
We had a lovely balcony facing the pool area.
Bus stop only 2 minutes from the hotel and no 22 goes straight to Alicante city centre, with only 1.45 Euros per person.
30 minutes walk to San Juan beach which by far is the nicest beach around, with lovely restaurants and coffee shops.
We really enjoyed our stay.

Lovely, small hotel which is exactly as described on its website. Good size room with small yet perfectly adequate balcony - great for watching the sun going down! Good buffet breakfast with plenty of choice - although my husband said that his fried eggs and bacon were cold every time he had them. Access from the hotel into Alicante itself and, in the opposite direction, the playa del San Juan, is easy and inexpensive if you use the bus (no 22), which stops almost outside the hotel, or the tram system only a little further away. About 10 minutes up the road is a very lively hub with plenty of bars and restaurants. For those looking to escape the worst excesses of the Costa Blanca, yet have easy access to all it offers, we would highly recommend both this hotel and the area of the Cabo de la Huerta.

I just came back from there, not had good experience to be there in 7 nights.
We are vegetarian and no eggs but most very limited choices for us.
I usually ate everyday watermelon other other melon and yogurt.
No English translation or label on it, so find difficulty’s what to choose.
Eat out mostly everyday.
One day my daughter wanted to eat there buffet has only two potatoes veggies and try roasted veggies few bites and I paid €25 on top bought pizza was also small and cold paid another €11 , so totally paid €36.
So costly here you can eat that amount in less than £5!
On checkout they asked me to pay €46 for only cola , crisps and water which placed in room freeze.
Sometimes we do have but never drink cocktails.
They asked me to pay for all seven days service of freeze.
Later on found out you should never use their food they keep in room freeze it’s not for you to use it free, it has huge charges.
So before you start your day there must know what is included what’s not?
Other family also mentioned that , menu quite confusing and tricky, they have option of full rice bowl for two people in €15 , but they charge them afterwards €30 for one bowl of rice.
It’s clear cheating with customers who is not Spanish, they are from Germany.
So hotel Ripped off foreign clients each steps.
Also they given us room next to outdoor restaurant, very noisy every night and evening.
People Smokes, drink, louder noise , party music.
Not fun place to seat in balcony and relax. So we tried to spend time out most of the time.
They keep good cleaning rooms everyday so that’s good standard.
Room size is also alright for two people.
But avoid room mini fridge and there dinner which is not included, the cost won’t fair with you and not a good taste, hot or quality.
If you are vegetarian or vegan please don’t choose this hotel ever, not for you.
Far away from the options for your food.
We have to go by local buses number 22 to just to have our lunches and dinner.
Thanks hope you find this helpful for your next journey to Alicante.
Wish you all the best.

Not one for picking holes or leaving bad reviews but i do feel the need to highlight a few things. In fairness, i read reviews of this hotel on other sites and agree (the Pros) the staff are very friendly, the food/breakfast is lovely, and the hotel is very clean. The pool area is small/quiet as advertised and there are great costal walks nearby. I do feel the issues (the Cons) i encountered would be easily sorted by management as, reviewed on other sites, they have been repeatedly highlighted.

I stayed in the other side of the complex but i had no issue with that. If you are on this side of the complex please note - there is a waste (bottles or similar) uplift at 2.15AM EVERY MORNING. It is also the area where i assume deliveries come in as the noise starts again around 6am. Add to this that the air con wasn't working (which has been highlighted for some rooms on other review sites) it didn't make for a very good sleep.

I didn't make anything of it as i was short stay but given these issues have been mentioned before i don't think management are too concerned about fixing or sorting these issues.

Unfortunately I won't be back to this hotel in November due to the Cons but if you are lucky enough to get a room on the other side of the hotel i'm sure your experience will be quite different and benefit fully from the Pros.

As a frequent visitor to Alicante we have stayed in a wide variety of properties from the stylish Melia to the dreadful Maya but none compared favourably with Calas. It is a truly a boutique hotel and one that looks like it had opened the day before, so sparkling and immaculate. The rooms are quite small but very smartly furnished with a lovely balcony or terrace. The pool is a perfect on a hot day as is the breakfast terrace. And the breakfasts were comprehensive and inventive. Staff throughout the hotel were welcoming and friendly and in truth I can think of not a single thing that could be improved upon. The hotel is outwith the city centre but is a pleasant 10/15 bus ride and as result the hotel is an oasis of peace and tranquility away from the hustle and bustle of Alicante. We will be back.

A 2 minute walk, but certainly not the best beach in the area. A bit too rugged for young children, with no soft sand.
