Loved the decor, faded chintz etc. A bit quirky, full of character and delightful hosts. All very clean and comfortable, our dogs were welcomed, and the breakfast was excellent. We used it as a "pit stop" but realise that it could be a good place for people exploring the Basque country. The hotel is in the old part of the...

Old world charm in the old part of town. Big room with high ceilings and pretty eclectic furniture and wallpaper. But somehow it worked. Room also had big doors opening onto small Juliette balcony.. bath room small but unfortunately the smallish bath had no plug😳 The bed was ok. I loved the old wooden floors, which were a bit on...

We spend 4 nights in this friendly family run hotel right in the middle of Bergara. The hotel is in a building dating from the 17th century so don't be surprised not everything is as straight as it should be. Rooms are simple but clean. Information on the surrounding is available by booklets and by the hotel-owner. Breakfast is a...

Easy to locate in town centre close to square containing beautiful old style buildings. Pleasant and fresh in the height of summer. Friendly greeting. Originally booked as couple at short notice able to change booking to Cluedo our niece. First thing you notice is the age of the building as you approach and enter. Secondly how clean it all is,...

Stayed here 1 night as part of a motorcycle tour of Northern Spain. Booked online before departure. Like staying in a museum with crooked walls and doors and old fashioned decor. However, it was clean and had a nice deep bath, which is something that the more modern hotels often do not provide. The staff were very friendly and despite...

Needed stopover during UK - Spain journey. Lots of hotels to choose from but mention a dog and your search becomes more difficult. But no such worries here, only too happy to have the dog and very good with him too. Hotel takes a bit of finding but worth the effort. Not a out of the box generic hotel, lovely...

Take a step back in time, 1920's ? Creakey floors, dark corridors and rooms, old wooden beds with woodworm (treated) and old bathroom and light fittings, no lift. We enjoyed it! The owners were friendly and attentive. The freshly squeezed orange juice at breakfast is to die for. There is a lock up garage about 100m away in cobbled streets,...
