I spent a night here with friends before catching a flight back to Ireland. The hotel is a beautifully restored old mansion filled with modern art. Rooms are comfortable, large and very tastefully decorated. There is an indoor pool, though we did not have time to use it. Overall, a very comfortable stay, close to the city of Bergamo and very good value accommodation.
The hotel was clean, the stuff were super nice, always ready to help us. Moreover the pool and the sun beds were great and they had a bar. I did not like them organizing an event in the pool of the hotel, since it think this shall be for guest only. It was not such a big dea. What we didnt like is that its complicated to get to this hotel from the airport, if you dont grab a taxi. Its like 15 mins on foot to the train station of another town and then you gotta get to Bergamo and then to the airport. I liked my stay so much, but I felt like the location and not including the breakfast was a bit expensive but what we paid.
We went to this hotel for weekend. We preferred for they have a swimming poolz it is small but it is good for children. The hotel is very clean everything is really good. It is also very closed to center( we had a car so it was easy for us. I don’t know without car) Only things I didn’t like we had to leave to pool very early. Because they had a party and they closed it. I think this is not gentle for us. They can organise like this events after 19:00. So my little daughter was very sad. And I was angry.
We stayed here over a weekend for 2 nights, we are a family traveling with 2 small kids. - tripple room was ok and clean - upon arrival friday at 16.30 we were told that the pool was closed/reserved since 16.00 for a privat group. What do you do now with small kids and 38 degrees outside?! It’s disgusting that you pay for a facility and then you can’t use it. - there was a set dinner organized for our group. They were informed i was vegetarian and they wanted to serve me fish as a main course. Finally the only thing i was allowed to eat were fried veggies. I was not allowed to chose from the menu, since not part of the deal (50€ dinner!!!). Great! - breakfast staff is just non existing! You have to shout into the kitchen, to get someone’s attention to bring you a coffee. Then they bring it, but fail to ask the rest of the table if they also want coffees.. We also had to ask them to clean the outdoirs table, since all left dirty.. inside hall is very noisy and unwelcoming. - pool boy is also hopeless. You even have to pay 3€ per towel / day! I have never seen that in a 4* hotel - location not great eather, next to a big street. I would much rather stay in bergamo alta next time…
Great place to stay excellent value for money. Would highly recommend this hotel. Restaurant was also top quality at reasonable rates. Staff were great to deal with and very helpful. Laundry service is a little expensive.
Very traditional decorated with sculptures and paintings makes you feel the Italian culture style. The staff are friendly and humble very helpful . The hotel is a bit far from the city center you have a 15 mins walk to a he next train station. The indoor pool is small so no diving in. Breakfast is terrible everything is cold and there’s lack of staff in the kitchen you have to go round looking for one to help you. Internet is out of the question very slow and when you ask they blame it to the weather even if it’s sunshine outside .we had a very nice dinner there with local wine . Laundry service is expensive other than that it’s a beautiful area .
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. It was quite quiet during August which was lovely. The pool area was very relaxing and we enjoyed the artwork throughout the complex. The rooms were great and the service was exceptional. A great location near Bergamo airport and, with a hire car, we were able to get to lots of the local sights. The restaurant wasn't open when we were there but there are plenty of nearby restaurants (particularly recommend Il dolce forna - Ale and Jac in Presezzo). Highly recommended.
Hotel itself is located on quite a busy road, but you don't notice this when you are in the hotel or out by the pool. The rooms are luxurious, cleaned everyday and equipped with everything you need. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is quite expensive, but only a few minutes drive away there are good pizzeria's where you can eat great for cheap. Overall, good hotel if you're by car, otherwise it is quite isolated with regards to bars and restaurants.
The hotel itself is quite pleasant with tasteful décor and a work of art. We stayed mid-June for a few days. Paid for a double room and got a twin. On the first night, we were asked to book for the restaurant. However, there were only three tables of two (ours included) and a table of one while we were there and the service was hopelessly and painfully slow. My starter, "ravioli, mela and foi gras" was very cold and the pasta dry (not sure where the foi gras was). It looked like a left over from a previous session and not warmed up properly. Ravioli were stuck together and gathered at one side of the plate. Not a very pretty site. The quarter fillet of sea bass that followed was hot and OK. Needles to say that after this 'dinner' we drove to another restaurant in town for some decent Italian food! Breakfast was included, a good selection of food, but croissants were stale.…
I don't think we could have afforded this hotel while booking a three-month tour - our one and only - but it came up with a special offer, and so we were able to enjoy staying in the lap of luxury for two nights. Very beautiful; the ivory and malachite-tiled bathroom was worthy of a poem, and the truly spacious bedroom had a curtained sitting area with full sized TV, large refrigerator, and ample cupboards. We enjoyed having drinks brought to us on the terrace, and also walking through the many varied rooms - each with a different decor. Modern sculptures and paintings were successfully blended with antique furniture in many of the dining rooms; an elegant small indoor bar, where you could 'dive' down steps through a cave entrance to find the gym and indoor swimming pool (there was a smaller one outside in the grounds. This place was heaven; we did not explore far, but made use of the facilities for a welcome rest. I would LOVE to go back.…
