Detailed Reviews
We stayed at Tir na Nog for one night recently. Martine, the proprietor is a lovely lady and is extremely welcoming and friendly. I have seen other reviews which mention her personality, and yes - she's your typical Irish hostess! I wouldn't describe her the way others have, but yes - I could have done without the knock on the door for breakfast, we had agreed a time, and we were on our way.
As for the rooms, ours was lovely. Of course, it could probably do with an overhaul, but its an old house, its not the Ritz. I've stayed at many types of B&B and this is more on the traditional side. The bed could use a mattress topper for more comfort, and there was another issue in the bathroom. Martine was aware of these issues when mentioned to her.
Although I generally prefer more modern B&B's, it was clean, it was good value, Martine was very lovely and helpful, and I got a good breakfast the next day.

Charming old house in a superb central location in this beautiful village. Martine is a great host and serves a lovely breakfast. Your room on the first floor was at the front of the house and had a lovely view across the Bay to the Hook Peninsula.

We stayed here for three nights recently. It is an old house full of character. The bedrooms are very nicely furnished, very clean and shower that works perfectly. The owner Martine is a great host and cooks a lovely breakfast. It is in a great location and well worth the very reasonable rate charged. Don't go if you want five star luxury but do go if you want a comfortable stay in best location with great sea views from breakfast room. I will certainly return.

this is unfit to run as a B&B and should not be offered as we had to be moved to the strand hotel as Tir na nOg is not fit to live in the carpets felt as if they had been rained on the paper was hanging off the walls the owner is so blinded that she can not see it is so bad she needs help

I cut my visit short here by 4 days because the place was damp and the furniture very old and uncomfortable, not liveable in to be honest. I chatted to the owner Martine about the problems i was having and she responded to me very badly. Dunmore east is a fabulous spot but I wouldn't come go to tir na not again

This B&B is in serious need of updating. Very run down and shabby, rooms quite gloomy, shower rooms very small in fact are dangerously small with no ventilation, beds very old not that comfortable quite a damp feeling to the whole place. Wallpaper peeling from walls, with damp spores visible. Breakfast extremely small and not tasting of much. The owner of this B&B is quite intrusive of privacy and personal space and apart from that seems to have little or no customer service skills and no boundaries she seems really very detached from reality. A very strange person indeed. Dunmore East is a beautiful place don't spend your time there in this B&B. Over all bad experience I wouldn't stay again.

Martine gave us a wonderful stay at Tir Na nOg and made us feel very welcome. The room was quite noble and very tidy. The bed was heavenly cozy and the view over the bay was stunnig. Breakfast was just as expected - very delicous! Had very nice chats with Martine - definately worth a visit!

House with great character. Martin’e our host was very welcoming. Planning out next trip in January 2019. Fabulous relaxing weekend. Close to beautiful cliff walks and coves. Our room was fantastic with beautiful sea views and breakfast set us up for the day.

I checked my mum in to stay here for two nights this summer so she could have a comfy stay. The room was spotless - perfectly kitted out. The house is right in the centre of the village, great location, everywhere walkable. Martine our host was really helpful and thoughtful. Breakfast good.

Yes, but beyond small. I am 5'8" and let's just say, not a size 2. I was a tad claustrophobic. Someone with real height would have an issue....but clean is my issue, and I had no problem. Hope this helps.
