Beautiful house and scenery. Very comfortable bed and quiet setting. Owners were extremely welcoming and helpful. Outstanding breakfast and great selection! Highly recommend and would love to go back.
On the rocks B&B was absolutely wonderful! My husband and I stayed for 2 nights in early December to have a short weekend "getaway" before studying for university finals. We were not disappointed! On the Rocks was very relaxing and out in the country but close enough to some small towns! Mary and Owen were delightful hosts and made us feel so welcome we felt like we were staying with long lost family friends. We were the only ones staying at the B&B and Mary upgraded us to the larger room with a nice view of the sea when looking out the skylight. The rooms were spotless and the beds comfy. Our roomed was even themed with a green comforter and pictures and the soap in the bathroom was lime scented- all very detail oriented. Breakfasts were very good with yogurt and fresh fruit and a menu of cooked breakfasts to order. The full Irish breakfast was perfect for a day exploring. The breakfast table also has a stunning view of the sea, hills, and neighboring sheep to enjoy while eating breakfast! The B&B location was great for exploring Inishowen. We were able to see most of it, including Malin Head, in one day, even with the decreased daylight hours! There are a few close towns to the B&B for dinner options in the evening - Rosatos in Moville was especially good with fantastic Christmas decorations! Really enjoyed our stay at On the Rocks B&B! Don't hesitate to stay here! One last thing to mention is that Mary went above and beyond to help me get into contract with local farmers as part of my university studies. Thank you again Mary and we can't wait to come back and stay again!…
Stayed for 2 nights at this lovely B&B with fantastic hosts Mary and Owen, who cooked us lovely breakfasts and were more than happy to chat with us and were very helpful in advising us on places to see and eat out etc, the house is situated on a hillside overlooking the sea with amazing views and is vary spacious and clean, thankyou so much for making us welcome in your lovely home, Pau&Janet.
I have stayed at this B & B twice now, and it is absolutly my favorite place in Donegal. Very nice rooms and a fantastic breakfast. This is a new and modern house with a great view. Mary and her husband are frendly hosts.
We decided to stay overnight after a family wedding somewhere close to hand rather than drive for almost 2 hours home late at night. I came across On The Rocks B&B in Greencastle Co Donegal...it was a good choice, beautiful setting, convenient to so many amazing places to explore on Inishowen, the welcome was warm, accommodation was superb, bed was very comfy and breakfast was 1st class. Many thanks to Owen and Mary for making our stay special. Wish we could have stayed longer. Until next time.
