Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had a super stay at the B&B On The Rocks with Mary and Owen. Very friendly people, always helpful . The breakfast was to everyone's liking. The rooms were very cosy , clean and well kept . The view was very nice. We were lucky with the weather, we even sat on the terrace in the sun. We made some very nice trips from here. Spending your holiday here is definitely a must.

Mary and Owen from On The Rocks B&B in Greencastle have been the perfect hosts in a perfect setting from the minute we arrived until the minute we left 7 days later. The location of the B&B is great with amazing views over the water and hills. The comfort of the room with ensuite bathrooms is top notch. Very clean and comfortable rooms, a cosy sitting area for the guests upstairs and a warm welcome anywhere in the house. The breakfast is A-Mazing. Anything you desire will be provided for by Mary and Owen. Very much recommend this B&B and area for an amazing visit to Donegal.

This place has to be seen to be believed. Views are breath taking. Room very high standard and patio outside complete with loungers and table. Owen and Mary were excellent hosts. Breakfast cooked by Owen first class and Mary's presentation first class. Highly recommended

On the rocks B&B was absolutely wonderful! My husband and I stayed for 2 nights in early December to have a short weekend "getaway" before studying for university finals. We were not disappointed! On the Rocks was very relaxing and out in the country but close enough to some small towns! Mary and Owen were delightful hosts and made us feel so welcome we felt like we were staying with long lost family friends. We were the only ones staying at the B&B and Mary upgraded us to the larger room with a nice view of the sea when looking out the skylight. The rooms were spotless and the beds comfy. Our roomed was even themed with a green comforter and pictures and the soap in the bathroom was lime scented- all very detail oriented. Breakfasts were very good with yogurt and fresh fruit and a menu of cooked breakfasts to order. The full Irish breakfast was perfect for a day exploring. The breakfast table also has a stunning view of the sea, hills, and neighboring sheep to enjoy while eating breakfast! The B&B location was great for exploring Inishowen. We were able to see most of it, including Malin Head, in one day, even with the decreased daylight hours! There are a few close towns to the B&B for dinner options in the evening - Rosatos in Moville was especially good with fantastic Christmas decorations! Really enjoyed our stay at On the Rocks B&B! Don't hesitate to stay here! One last thing to mention is that Mary went above and beyond to help me get into contract with local farmers as part of my university studies. Thank you again Mary and we can't wait to come back and stay again!

We decided to stay overnight after a family wedding somewhere close to hand rather than drive for almost 2 hours home late at night. I came across On The Rocks B&B in Greencastle Co Donegal...it was a good choice, beautiful setting, convenient to so many amazing places to explore on Inishowen, the welcome was warm, accommodation was superb, bed was very comfy and breakfast was 1st class. Many thanks to Owen and Mary for making our stay special. Wish we could have stayed longer. Until next time.

Myself and my wife were in the area for a wedding and decided to book the night here, and what a stay it was! First of all, the view and house are stunning, a modern house with rural, picturesque views of water and beaches. The hosts are both friendly and helpful, couldn't do enough to help us! Regarding value for money I doubt there is anything better than here, the room is fantastic, breakfast was amazing and the few drinks and snacks were also massively appreciated, also WiFi is solid. Me and my wife haven't stopped raving to people about the stay, if you're considering a stay, just book in, you won't be disappointed!
