Enjoyable stay!. We stayed for 10 nights after a Mara safari and could not fault the hotel at all. The whole site is clean and well maintained which is a full time job in itself. The food in the Minazi restaurant is especially good. The buffet is standard food however there is always plenty to choose from whether at lunch or breakfast. We opted for a premier sea facing room, but in reality this was just o standard room with nothing to distinguish it from other rooms on site. However the air con was excellent and the shower was powerful. The pool bar was excellent and a special mention goes to Francis who looked after us every day and Eric who got me into Brandy Sidecars! We chose to remain in the hotel during the stay so not sure what - if any - restaurants and bars are in the neighbourhood, but would not advise going out of the hotel without some "official" company like an approved taxi driver. The beach has several peddlers selling an assortment of wares all the way along and there is a lot of seaweed which makes swimming or paddling in the sea undesirable. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this hotel if staying in Mombasa. …

We spent 5 nights at Whitesands and it was the perfect beach holiday. The service from all the staff at checkin, restaurant, poolside, watersports, security etc. was 10/10! Special mention goes out to Francis at the poolside bar. The rooms were nice and clean but the tub/showers are a bit outdated. Walk-in showers would have been much better. There was a large selection of food at the buffet, however the vegetarian selection got a bit repetitive after a few days. It is a massive hotel therefore it never feels crowded. I would rate it a high 4 star and would definitely visit again.

Family stay with three teenagers, excellent hotel, lots going on. Plenty of food choice for our fussy children, we never struggled to choose something to eat. The Italian restaurant is particularly good. The pool service is excellent, a special mention to Joseph, Grace and Francis.. Great location, right on the beach. The rooms were good in size and very clean, air conditioning was good. Good choice of spa treatments, reasonably priced. Afternoon tea and cakes on the lawn was a nice touch. Speak to Ali for scuba diving. Overall, excellent hotel, would highly recommend, we’d love to return.

The pools were outstanding and its position is great for beach access too. The food choice was vast. Our room was quite tight for my husband and 12 year old son but was clean and everything worked. Unfortunately the hotel team overall, did not seem to be as happy to serve as we'd have liked, but we enjoyed the treatments we had at the spa.

This is an okay hotel, but the noise and lack of consideration for hotel guests is just terrible. Had someone ring my room bell at 7.am just to stock the room minibar- which I did not as and later that night; the room above me was being cleaned at 11;00PM, with beds being dragged around the room!

Hello, My and family and I stayed at Sarova for 11 days during August 2023. We would like to thank all of the staff for the excellent service they provided. From security guards, reception staff, restaurant staff, cleaners, swimming life guards, entertainment staff, they were all outstanding! A special thanks to Robert Team Leader in Pavillions restaurant and Lydia the waitress. Thanks to Pauletta waitress. And thanks to Salom in Jet Ski area. Amazing staff making the hotel so proud. Pros: easy check-in, nice rooms, large pool area, great beach location Cons: the noise!!! OMG why are loud speakers screaming at night club levels all day? And not just one location. The pool bar is competing with the animation team who are competing with the next team on who has the loudest music! It is horrible. We are at the beach and cannot hear the ocean, cannot experience the calming effect of the sea. Cannot hear ourselves think. Horrendous! Would not recommend. Whitesands, stop this. Please Stop.

Stayed here for 8 nights, ground floor room. Check in was busy so told to go to dinner first then had a mix up on the drinks as we were All inc, Got sorted out on check out. Room was good, Dark curtains to help you sleep, Clean and tidy, sheets nice and pillows good, big bed. Bathroom, clean, good pressure in shower, towels excellent BUT we did have to ask for some extras. Tipped the grounded man as they do a great job and he was very grateful. We were in room 1024. Beach OK, goes out along way, breakfast good, liked that we can eat in different places. Staff excellent. Glass bottom boat was fun. Drinks list good but more cocktails would be better. James was excellent in the fish restaurant. Good selection of local beers. Food brilliant. Pools fine. Price for extras very reasonable. Wife said Spa was first class. The only negative was…………we selected this hotel and it was confirmed with our travel agents, we asked for padding on the sun beds. Our pictures in the brochure shows padded sun beds. When we got to the hotel, NO PADDED SUN BEDS and the sun beds do not go all the way flat. I got a bad back due to this. Would have been 5 stars if we had not been mis lead by Trailfinders/Hotel.…
