My Uncle did the Pennine Way walk back in 2014. He remembers the Mill House with much affection and so we decided to take him back to reminisce. We booked three rooms for six of us and each of us were genuinely impressed with the quality, service and sheer friendliness of Clare and David. The rooms were clean, tidy, warm... More

Stayed here at the end of day 2 of St Cuthbert's Way. Prestigious ex Mill B&B with large rooms and great rural views. Clare booked us into the Borders pub just up the road in Kirk Yetholm, which was a great choice, food was excellent. (Only other pub is the Plough a short walk away in the adjoining Town Yetholm.... Perfect welcome, beautifully clean and tastefully decorated modern room, lovely views. Clare and hubby were friendly and helpfully booked us in for a meal at the local pub. Was a splendid place to spend time after a long walk over the hills. Booked via "freetobook" which was easy to do. So glad to have found this gem and will look... More

Arriving here after a hard day's walk on the St Cuthbert's Way is an absolute delight. The bedrooms are beautifully appointed with en-suite bathrooms. Breakfast is a feast that will set you up for the walk ahead if you are undertaking the SCW. (Packed lunches available) Great evening meals available a short walk up the road at the famous Border... I stayed here earlier this month with a friend whilst on the St. Cuthbert's Way walk. This lovely restoration is only a few yards from the path. We were made to feel very much at home, by both Clare and David, who are both welcoming and friendly. Our room was in the eaves but it was still light, clean, spacious,... More

Stayed in the wheelhouse self catering apartment for a week in August. It is very spacious but small kitchen (but still everything you need). The bathroom is amazing with walk in shower and a bath. Super king size bed is very comfy and ample storage space for clothes provided. Wifi is very good connection. The owner Clare is extremely friendly... More

This was a very pleasant stay at Mill House. The hosts Clare and David were very welcoming, and the facilities were top notch. The rooms were very comfortable, and very well equipped. Clare also pre-booked us in to nearby Border Hotel. The breakfast was superb, and we also pre-booked a packed lunch. The building is a great conversion, and ideally... More

I have probably never seen a finer restoration of an erstwhile condemned building. The beauty of this old mill in its present form will take your breath away. It is furnished generously with an adroit eye for tastefully blending into the old setting. You will have a choice of several spacious rooms, one with a full sitting room of its... More

Clare arranged for us to be picked up at Jedfoot bridge by Chris the friendly local taxi and taken to Mill House for the first of our two nights stay. We were met by Clare who welcomed us to her beautiful home. Our room was lovely, light and airy with a great shower. Fresh milk was provided in a little... More
