This is one of the best pub/restaurants in the area. In common with other places it is also dog friendly, if required. On that case you sit in a Cosy section between the main bar and restaurant. This is just as comfortable as the restaurant with plenty of atmosphere, away from the main and serving door draughts. All 3 courses...

Excellent pub. Cosy rooms. Not very big but definitely value for money and well equipped. Certainly big enough for a 1 night stay in our case or a weekend away. Food was top notch and the portions a plenty. Good beer at average prices. Very friendly landlord and staff. Pub was busy but friendly local atmosphere. Only thing i would...

We visited on a high recommendation from a friend. Frankly we were very disappointed. The food was good but the accommodation very poor. We were in room 3 an outside annex room. The outside end wall was angled, the inside wall was not. The bed was square to the outside wall which meant it was angled to the internal wall....

We stayed here for the weekend whilst attending my sisters wedding at Bolton Castle. The Bolton Arms has fantastic modern rooms and the friendly hospitality to go with it. We had a couple of z beds in our room for the kids and the owners went out of their way to make sure everything was ok for us. 52 of...

We were attending a wedding at Castle Bolton. Whilst we could have stayed in Richmond with the rest of the wedding guests we plumped for the Bolton Arms and were glad that we did. If you're going to Castle Bolton then it's very close, 5 minutes drive if that, but bear in mind you have to get to Redmire in...

Eaten here several times previously and aways enjoyed the food and friendly service so decided to stay for 3 nights. We weren't disappointed and will be back. The room is not the largest but adequate and kept very clean and surprisingly quiet. We have a courtyard / garden room. Pub very dog friendly. Thanks again.

Recommended by friends who have visited quite a few times and must say they know what they're talking about. Lovely place to stay, very attractive bar and dining room area and breakfast and dinner were superb. The staff were very efficient, polite and looked as though they were enjoying their work! Great to see and some were very young and...
