Just popped in on the first day of opening after lockdown, had a stunning meal and was served royally by Martin and Steph the owners, the food was fabulous up there amongst the best in the Dale! Lovely cosy atmosphere helped by a roaring fire.

We are so pleased to have booked the Bolton Arms at Redmire to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The staff and owners were so welcoming, the meal was 10 out of 10 and made for a memorable evening. We highly recommend and will definitely be back on our next trip to The Dales. Many thanks to all at The Bolton Arms. Michael & Rachel.

Found the Bolton Arms on Trip advisor and booked on the spur of the moment. Must say we certainly were not disappointed with this little gem. All the staff made us feel extremely welcome on arrival and COVID guidelines were easy to follow and adhered to throughout. Steph guided us to our accommodation which was in one of the outside rooms, very comfortable with everything we needed including a shower with some power. The evening meal was fantastic with the only problem being having to make a choice from such an enticing menu, the real ales were also a bonus. We shall certainly be looking to make a return visit to the Bolton Arms in the future.

Recently did a tour of the Yorkshire Dales as a surprise for my wife’s birthday. We were allocated room 4 which was one of the outside rooms in what looked to be a very well converted and tastefully decorated outbuildings. The pub is a well laid out country pub with a good range of beers, drinks and a good selection on the menu. Our only real moan was quite strange really and whilst the room had a free view TV box and Samsung telly, we struggled to watch anything other than the BBC Parliament channel as the previous guest had gone home with the TV remote and was mailing it back to the pub. Not sure how you accidentally pack the TV remote for the room in your luggage. I guess we must have been lucky over the years not to have done the same ourselves !! Leaving the set stuck on BBC Parliament channel with no TV remote is like leaving a book at the hotel for people to read and tearing out the last chapter !!

A review after one night of take away, two nights dining in and an afternoon beer, post walk. Karen the chef, Jim, Jake, Leah, and Megan worked hard to make everything just right. Martin and Steph have a good team there, whether its “team A” or “team 2”, they are as good as each other! The lamb rump was cooked perfectly, the steak and ale pie with great pastry and the calves liver was super. The 2 trainee chefs did a great job with our steaks and we wish them all the best with their apprenticeships. Good luck to you all for the next 6 months. Highly recommended, we certainly enjoyed our time there!
