Had a weekend walking break as a couple on our own and were warmly greeted on our arrival by Lorri & Dave who endeavoured to make our stay as relaxing as possible - they did, and it was. We stayed in the Avignon suite and found it extremely comfortable throughout. The Luxury Super King size bed was as big as some B&B rooms we have stayed in. We had one evening meal which was delicious, and the breakfasts - traditional English cooked and then salmon/eggs the next day were perfect. We were keen to walk and maps were loaned , with local walks recommended. The location is very handy for Dales walking - which is what we did We couldn't recommend it highly enough
Just come back from staying at the 'Old Town Hall ' Redmire. Hosts Dave and Lorri immeadiately make you feel at home with offers of tea or coffee. The room we stayed in was spacious and the attention to detail on items within the bedroom and en suite was exceptional. Every modern facility was available and it is no wonder this establishment is so highly rated. We sampled Daves food for breakfast and dinner and it was always well prepared ,hot and very tasty. If you really feel the need to be naughty try one of Lorri's scones with preserve and cream, an absolute delight. We had a wonderful 3 days and will return soon. If you want somewhere quiet but well catered for the Old Town Hall at Redmire is the place to visit.
A group of six of us stayed here in late May for a walking holiday. The B & B exceeded our expectations. The rooms are comfortable, and the bathrooms well equipped. Dave does the cooking and the breakfasts are well above average, with the choice of a freshly cooked full English, but also lots of fresh fruit and a continental platter, as well as home made bread, good quality preserves and cereals. You can also have an evening meal if you wish, and this suited us very well after a long day's walking. No need to drive anywhere. Just shower and change, meet in the residents lounge for a drink and then sit down to a freshly cooked 3 course meal. Dave will talk to you at breakfast and agree the evening menu with you. The B & B is not licensed but you are welcome to take your own.…
