Good location (jungle), lovely surroundings (best beaches), beautiful ocean view, amazing pool. Poor maintenance, poor food service (no vegetarian options in an ecolodge). Poor human contact... When tourists arrive tired after a long trip, with no car and at night time it would be so nice to welcome them with some food and drink so they won't have to wait...

We had a fantastic stay at the Mar y Selva with four generations of our family! We stayed at the tail end of the dry season, but the jungle was still alive with all kind of wild life. The staff is extremely nice and very guest focused. Ester the cook is absolutely fabulous! Some of the activities that we did...

I apologize that you did not find the pool or the hot tub in your room up to your standards of cleanliness. We have addressed the hot tub in the room with the staff and would ask that if you ever have an issue like that again to immediately notify someone and we will immediately take care of it for...

We came to Costa Rica to relax and enjoy the the best nature has to offer. Mar y Selva offered the perfect environment to do both. From the time we arrived to our departure, the staff made us feel at home. Mornings began with Esther's delicious breakfasts and evenings ended listening to the sounds of the jungle. The staff assisted...

I came to Costa Rica to look for relax and to take pictures and Mar y Selva was the perfect camp between outdoors activities. The rooms are just great, with all the facilities ones needs, and even for those that want to feel at home again watching TV. The best has been the service at all levels... the friendly atmosphere...

Costa Rica has beautiful beaches and impressive jungle. In May y selva - like the name says - you don't have to choose: it has the best of both worlds. We stayed in a nice bungalow in the middle of tropical green with an incredible view of the sea. The bungalows blended in nicely with the environment and were very...

We were in search of a base to explore the parks and outdoor activities in the south western Pacific Coast area of Costa Rica and we found the perfect spot in the Mar y Selva Eco-lodge. It had everything from a wonderful staff, great typical meals, and an ocean/rain forest view to die for. The biggest bonus for me was...

Being a nature lover, staying at Mar y Selva was fantastic. It is located in the forrest, with a nice view of the ocean. You can watch the wild-life from the super-sized pool (for example, there was a group of howler-monkeys in the tree above it). The rooms were modern and clean, and the service was very nice with the...
