Arrived and nicely welcomed; asked for restaurant recommendations and was told that they did not know any - bit strange. Found a restaurant (thanks to Google) and asked front desk if they could book a table for us and were told if you have the number you could ring them

Dear johngD7129HS, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience of our hotel, please accept my sincere apologies with regards to our reception team, I shall ask our front office manager to investigate this more, as the team member in which you spoke to should be more accommodating. Your comments shall be forwarded to our maintenance manager in regards to door seals. The black covering in which you encountered is to protect the flooring with the tradesmen walking across it, whilst they complete our bedroom refurbishment. I hope we can welcome you back to the hotel in the very near future to see the finish of our bedroom refurbishment. Warm regards, Nick

Stayed here for one night with my parter whilst on a business trip. We were impressed with the surroundings of the hotel and was excited to check in and get to our room. Things went downhill from here... We didn’t feel that welcome when we walked in and when checking in they

I shall ask the members of the food & beverage team to ensure that they effectively communicate with each other, to ensure when an offer is given that you are then not stopped by a fellow employee. We are currently in the process of completing a menu review, so shall also take your feedback on board with regards to menu length. Are the alcoholic drinks expensive?
I wouldn't say so for hotel rates. There is also a nice pub "the Oak" just down the road in the village. I don't recall there being much difference in price.
