Wow, this B&B was fantastic! Great, central location in Noci, a beautiful, relaxed townwith supermarket 5 mins walk and parking. It was easy for us to do day trips in Northern puglia (Matera, Alberobello and Polignare a Mare are a must!) The owners, a lovely Puglian couple, were really friendly, made us feel so welcome with a delicious breakfast every morning and tips on Puglia. Our room was fab and clean with great AC and patio to watch the sunset. The pool was beautiful a great place to chill. Very reasonable price would recommend highly, and will be returning if I'm in Puglia again! If you go for dinner in Noci try l'antica locanda, great service and delicious food!
this was a wow hotel from the outside. it was stunning - trulli style. the room was ok - traditional but clean and nice. the staff, the owners were amazing. they served us breakfast and were so kind. he even booked up dinner reservations at a restaurant for us. wow! being here felt so nice. I would recommend staying here to anyone in the area. a little pricey than other hotels on our stay in Puglia, but such a nice memory. finding it was tricky. no big sign in front. parking was easy as the property is big. nice family run place.
Excellent value, very clean. The owners are very friendly. Near the Trulli of Alberobello. Very recommendable! We will definitely return with the family. Beautiful area and not (yet) many tourists. Great place.
We were a group of 11 friends touring Puglia. Instead of staying in a regular hotel, we decided to experience staying in a B & B with a real trulli! There is a rustic section & a new section. We had rooms in both areas & they were very clean! It was fun! The bathrooms are very small but we found that in most places we have stayed in Italy. The courtyard was ours to use after our daily tours. We felt like it was our own country house. The owners spoke only Italian but we were able to get our points across .My only suggestions would be softer towels & a full length mirror in the rooms for short people like me:)could not see much in the bathroom mirror!
We chose this B&B for our Alberobello visit as the last stop of our 20 days Europe road-trip. It was not easy to find here as there was no clear sign on the door. We asked a few shops and folks on the road, even if they cannot speak English they gave directions pretty well. After you find the hotel, if you don't have phone (like us!), it is pretty hard - or impossible- to go inside. You need to give a call them and they need to open the garage door for you. Luckily a few guests saw us in front of the garage door, explained the situation to us with sign language and after spending 25 minutes we could go inside and met with great people :). Grotta Cilicia is owned and managed by a family. Only the young gentlemen (the son) can speak English, mom and dad cannot but can still speak with you with a perfect sign language. They are all very friendly people and show you all the hospitality. Our room was very clean and comfortable; wifi worked perfect. The free breakfast was OK in a family atmosphere. They served homemade pastry and some prunes and apricots from the garden. We felt like we visited our relatives and staying with them, pretty nice and warm. We always like local experiences, and this was a perfect final for our road-trip. Two suggestions for the management: Accept credit card, or at least online advance payment.; and make first welcoming easy! A ring on the garage door would work great :) Please keep your family atmosphere and teach us more Italian!…
