We were placed in the San Biagio by our host at the conference and fair we were visiting in the nearby city of Vicenza. A perfectly adequate Italian business hotel (though their main business is obviously wedding events in the monastery and chapel) Warm comfortable well looked after rooms with a typical continental breakfast on offer with freshly squeezed blood orange juice on offer. No main restaurant or bar facility means travelling into the nearby village of Mason Vicentino which has an assortment of bars, restaurants and Trattorias and makes a car an essential option to have.

It was the perfect getaway for a night we wished we had stayed longer! The rooms were comfortable, nice water pressure in the bathroom. Breakfast was fabulous we had champagne and fresh squeezed blood orange juice, and the food was delicious.

A clean and well run little hotel. Pleasant well-kept rooms. The highlight would have to be the spa and wellness area - modern jacuzzi, Turkish bath and sauna...all for the exclusive use of one guest (or couple) at a time.

My husband and I have spent three days at Villa San Biagio, and we recommend it. It is the first place that we have found which is roomy enough for us to spread out, unpack properly, wash clothes in the sink, and generally not be in each other's way at all. The rooms upstairs have skylights and little kitchenettes. They are larger than the ones downstairs though I could see into an end room downstairs -#7 - that looked good as it had two good chairs and a (non-working) fireplace. The only issue we had - common in the shoulder season - was mosquitoes. We sleep with windows open since the AC was turned off as is nearly always the case in Italy beginning October 1st. Stefano got out a good fan for us when we asked him to, and this kept the mosquitoes away and also enabled us to sleep with windows closed if necessary. Stefano and Signora Gualtiero were always kind and accomodating to us, helping us with art exhibits in Viacenza and restaurants in Mason Vicentino and Breganza. They speak only Italian.
