We liked our stay in this hotel very much. Nice rooms, friendly and helpful staff. Two excellent restaurants: The biggest one is a bit posh and the waiters are overacting. But we liked the play, the food and the setting. The brasserie is more relaxed. Perfect hotel for a relaxing day without visits.
This is really lovely hotel which I would highly recommend to anyone exploring northern Italy. I stayed here with my partner and parents for a week in July 2019. To give the positives: - the hotel is very modern and clean. You really get the impression that you are staying in a high class hotel that is well cared for. We stayed in a superior room which has a balcony facing away from the road. The double bed was very large, air conditioning worked perfectly and the bathroom was modern and to a high standard. The rooms also have mini-fridges to store cold drinks. - the location is great. Whilst a car is necessary, the hotel is a great base to explore the surrounding area (e.g. Marostica, Vicenza, Citadella). - for the quality of the hotel the price is fantastic. We stayed in a hotel closer to Treviso for the second week which was more expensive and turned out to be nowhere near as nice. - The pool is of a good size and there were plenty of chars and umbrellas available. - Both hotel restaurants are very nice and offered a large variety of Italian food. - Breakfast is very varied and of a high quality. The fresh fruit juicer and the fresh waffles were a real highlight! - The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff is a real highlight, particularly at breakfast. It really gives the impression that they love what they do and want to make their customers' stay as nice as possible. There were a few minor things that if improved would give this hotel a 5 rating: - the pool was not accessible on one of the days due to a wedding taking place. This is understandable, but we were not made aware of this before arriving at the hotel. On a second day there was a birthday party at the pool area. Bizarrely the pool was not closed but it meant sitting in the middle of a large birthday party and so effectively the pool was not usable for 2 out of the 6 days we were there. - the breakfast is very high quality and there is a very large selection of food available. However, it was noticeable that the fruit and pastries were fresh on the first day we arrived and got slowly less and less fresh as the week went on. The pastries, in particular, should be refreshed more often. - the pool and the bar are at separate ends of the hotel. If you want to have drinks by the pool you need to walk around the hotel and order then and them carry them back yourselves. The only cups available for the pool are small plastic cups and beer is served with roughly a third being head, meaning that by the time you get back to the pool you are left with a small plastic cup 3/4 full. It would be nice if there were larger cups and the beers were served full. - the shower by the pool was scalding hot, meaning people often did not shower before using the pool.…
The Sweet Hotel is the best hotel to stay over when you need accommodation in thsi part of Italy. The staff are friendly and helpful. There is a complimentary drinks station with aperol and fruit juice for guests. The hotel offers free WiFi. There are two good restaurant options. The rooms are stylish with a touch of humor and colour on the shower gel and soap packets. There is plenty of parking at no extra cost.
A very nice hotel. Clean and fresh. It has a great restaurant for dinner full of locals. There is a nice and plentiful breakfast. Staff very attentive and pleasant. I will stay here again. Wi-Fi could be improved. If dislike town clocks dinging in the night you may wish to get a room around the back of the hotel.
This is a well run family hotel located in a good area to explore the local towns. The hotel is family run and very friendly as well as helpful with any request. The food is of a very good standard with the well managed Brassiere providing a good range of Italian food which at the weekend shows its quality by having queues of locals eating there. If you want to go upmarket there is a very good restaurant. Breakfast is extensive, hot and cold food available. Rooms have big beds and are kept very clean and tidy every day. There is a nice touch of free aperitifs every day, you can come in and go through your day sitting in the bar enjoying these. The hotel is a good base to explore the area but you must have transport. The actual location in Longa can be enjoyed by a 5 minute walk but you can get to Bassano del Grappa (old town, famous bridge), Marostica (Panorama walk) and Asolo (old hill town, lots of views) with a car ride and by a good bike ride out for example. Wine tasting visits can be arranged with the hotels wine supplier. Dont be put off by the location of this hotel, the excellence is inside. Dont be put off by its Italian nature, if you want English tea they make it for you!…
