We stayed at Ottolire resort for 5 nights in their Trullo with a private hot tub. It was amazing from start to end, the location is beautiful (although a little out the way - 10 minutes from Locorotondo by car which is beautiful) and accommodation was perfect. The food was amazing and we received fantastic service and recommendations from the staff. If you are thinking about staying here I would 100% recommend - just make sure you rent a car if you do as nothing is in walking distance and taxis are expensive!
Due to coronavirus we were unable to leave Australia and hence we requested to cancel our stay. All other accomodation we had booked for the trip had offered refunds or credits to come next year. Ottolire resort offered neither and took our full payment with no apologises or discussion, how poor! That is awful service and simply unacceptable. 0/10
We stayed for 10 nights in July this year and had a most wonderful experience from the moment we arrived. The hotel is set out in the countryside but still accessible to the coast in half an hour and a number of surrounding towns and villages around 10 mins away. It was beautiful sitting on the terrace each morning overlooking the olive groves. We ate in the restaurant on two evenings and were very impressed with the quality of food and presentation. The rooms are excellent; modern luxury and exceptionally clean. The staff were so incredibly passionate about the hotel and genuinely interested in providing the best possible experience for their guests. Once a week the hotel has a bbq beside the pool where guests can eat together and chat with the owner and the small team of staff. It was great fun. There is nothing you wouldn’t just love about this place. The only thing you need to consider is perhaps hiring a car to explore the area and the property may not be suitable for someone with mobility issues. Apart from that we would highly recommend this place, it is truly special. …
My wife and I stayed for 6 nights (see my room recommendation). At the end of a day of exploring Puglia, Ottolira is a joy to return to (after 2 or 3 days of day trips, you're sure NOT to leave the property for at least a day . . . bring your reading with you). Breakfasts and any type of coffees, front office staff (always there through early evenings), housekeeping and service by the pool always gracious and exceptional. Wish it was easier to get to this part of the world from the U.S. West Coast; Ottolira would be my "go to" destination for southern Italy, and a stop over on the way to Greece. It is so worth the effort to stay at Ottolira.
This new resort is outstanding. Spacious beautiful grounds, great pool, outstanding restaurant (go for dinner even if you don’t stay here!), fantastic spa services and facilities (Giovanna is really talented, a genuinely fantastic masseuse). The staff are professional, friendly, and highly informed. The rooms are gorgeous and comfortable regardless of what size you go for. They’ve done a great job of renovating and upgrading this site whilst keeping the traditional charm. It’s slightly off the beaten track but not by much, and this is a region to drive through anyway and really easy to get to by car. We absolutely loved it and would recommend to anyone.
