Auberge du Mehrbachel sits on the side of a mountain up a windy forest road above the village of St Amarin. It is a working farm and it was lovely to hear the cow bells and see lamas in the mornings !! We stayed here for four nights on a room only basis. Buffet Breakfast was €10 per person per...

Visiting a local company and a recent business trip, this hotel was recommended and didn't disappoint. Entering on a steep winding road up the mountain side, I was glad it was still early autumn and not mid-winter, but once we arrived, the views of the surrounding mountains ranges are spectacular. The hotel is picturesque just like shown in the brochures...

I love to find hotels in secluded, difficult to reach places, and the the Auberge du Mehrbachel was a wonderful discovery. We spent two nights in a room in the newer part of the hotel with a balcony and a beautiful view of the valley below. The Auberge is a working farm, and I loved hearing the cow bells as...

We stayed here for two night while on a walking holiday. The location was great with several walking trails around the hotel (although not not particularly well marked - we got lost despite the walking map provided by the hotel) I can't fault the hotel on any aspect. We had balcony rooms in the newer part of the hotel. They...

Stayed here as part of a stop over. The place is so peaceful and an ideal catch up after a long journey. The staff are excellent and very friendly. The room was a little dated but the views are to die for. The food is really good. Very recommended!

This place is on a terrace a steep rise up from Saint Amarin, the steep road continuing to the side of this ridge towards the Ballon d'Alsace, one of the highest points in the Vosges. The hotel food is very good and the accommodation facing the valley gives a remarkable panoramic vista. There are paths straight out of the hotel...

The view of the valley is fantastic And you can also see wildlife in the evening and you will also see a Lama roaming free around the place and will come close to you. The reception...

Set overlooking the town of St Amarin, near Thann in the Alsasce, the views across the valley are terrific. We stayed here for two nights and could quite easily stayed longer. The Auberge is very popular, both accommodation and the restaurant. The restaurant is closed on Thursday, but hotel guests are catered for. There are great possibilities for walks in...
