Excellent option. The owners are extremely kind and friendly, always eager to offer advice. The rooms are more than adequate. The breakfast and dinner quality are well above expected, with plenty of local food. A perfect option in this region of Reunion.
A very nice b&b with nicely decorated rooms. We had a room at the first floor. Comfort of the room was good but thanks to the open bathroom the toilet was in the middle of the room. Really? Yes.... smell and no privacy. Very unfortunate so you may want to check if there are other rooms available. There is a swimming pool. Florian is an excellent host and has a lot of interesting information around the island. Diner served for guests is really tasty and served at a big table for all there guests.
We had a nice stay at Orky-Mel. We enjoyed a lot the homemade food for breakfast and a homemade creole dinner. Which as a nice experience to get in touch with a creole family and learn some more french.
Rooms were very thoughtfully decorated and everything went together beautifully. Hosts were friendly, breakfast was excellent (the fruit juices made from fresh fruit each morning were a particular highlight), and the pool will be gorgeous (it was being redone while we there - but it is a great pool and the views from it and the surrounding deck are stunning). All in all, a thoroughly pleasant stay.
