Is in the middle of town, in front of the main square. The rooms are clean and spacious, even though the hotel looks old and not very well taken care off. The restaurant is a little expensive for what it offers, but the food is good, not extraordinary. The people that run the place are very friendly and helpful. Even though the elevator is old, use it. Taking the stairs is very scary.
The hotel has free parking and was cheap enough for what it offers. For one night it was ok and it's fairly close to the highway. The only trouble was that the owner doesn't speak english so be prepared...
Hotel Lengenfelder Hof. Average standard. Service not visible, only 1 person at reception. The hotel and restaurant are deserted. The kitchen was quiet and empty, which did not encourage you to sit in the evening in the restaurant. Rooms large and clean. Overall OK !!!!!
Negatives Upon arrival Reception was deserted and there was a sign in German advising us to go to the Restaurant. We then had to shout to find someone who checked us in. Credit card machine not working so unable to pay our bill this way so walked across the square to find a cash point Dinner ok but a little pricey for what it was Hotel looks tired and unloved - run on limited staff Unable to get breakfast before 8am on Sunday morning and as we were going to Moto GP at Sachsenring this was too late Positives Bedroom was large, spacious and clean and hotel has ample free car parking. Lovely Roof Top Patio area which was well maintained and where we had dinner Overall Nothing else in the town - no other bars or restaurants to try - we wandered about after dinner and asked some local lads if there was anything else and they said no only the hotel Only other thing we found open was 4 kebab shops! Very disappointing will not stay again - owners did not make any effort to welcome us.…
