Detailed Reviews
Rooms not really clean . The room gives the impression of an old hotel with old furniture and that the rooms have not been renovated since long time . Air conditioner was broken , shower door was broken . Overall the room is big but not really for a 4 * hotel . Breakfast was so poor . No vegetables , no yogurt , one salami , one ham , one cheese , bacon and eggs and small choice of musli . Some more options of sweets but I am not really a fan of these. Filter coffee and you could ask for a cappuccino or espresso to the waitress .

The staff were very polite and lovely, when our room was made up it was made up very well, despite the ants. However the reason we booked the hotel was because of the gym, spa and water park facilities advertised. None of these were open during our visit. The water park looked like it had been shut for years. Unfortunately the hotel is quite run down, they were having work done to it while we were there so I imagine they're trying to get it back to it's once former glory. Essentially it's a hostel to sleep in as there are none of the facilities available.

the hotel seems to be suffering with a lack of guests.
On arrival we was made to feel welcome, the girls on reception was lovely.
The hotel is located a bit out of the way of the local amenities and there is quite a steep incline up to the hotel so not good for people with walking difficulties .
The food is extremely basic, you would want to go to one of the lovely local restaurants in the town for some tasty Italian food.
The rooms are in a poor state of repair shower doors missing, clean towels was dirty, broken doors.
On our last day we paid to have a late check out on one of our rooms ( we had two rooms booked) to keep our baggage in and shower before our transfers to the airport we checked out one room in the morning and then spent the day at the water park. When we returned to collect our luggage and get showered and check out we was told we had to pay for 2 rooms on late check out, we said we had already checked one room out and we agreed it was 50 euro for one room. The manager took this extremely badly and said the poor girl on reception would have to pay the other 50, what for exactly ? The way he spoke to his staff was disgusting no respect at all for all the hard work they put in !

Amazing value, great location, polite staff and very clean. 5 Star!
I wanted to take this moment to iron out any concerns.
Yes the hotel may be of a certain age and yes there may be areas that require updating but PLEASE don’t let this put off booking.
We arrived late due to a delay and we were welcomed by a member of staff in the early hours (2am to be exact) who was very friendly and gave us all the information we needed in terms of breakfast and room service.
Initially we had feared the reception would be closed but thankfully all was well.
Breakfast - being vegan I was worried about this but I did not have to worry. There is a wide selection of fruit (much of it organic), beautiful watermelon, seeded grapes, apricots, peaches etc.
Plus, cereals (inc. gluten free options), rice milk, soya milk, fresh bread, jams and more.
There were also salad /savoury options available.
For non vegans, there is lots to choose from including meats, eggs, cheeses, a wide array of cakes, cereals, croissants and much more.
A good range of drinks available too! Bottled water, juices, tea, coffee and more!
The room - Very clean throughout with daily room service (including fresh towels daily)
We had room 409. A wonderful view overlooking vineyards and a small village heading towards Lazise (well worth a visit).
Also great for sunsets!
Transport. We recommend renting a car - we only stayed 4 nights but this proved to be the winning ticket where we were able to collect (and drop off) from the airport vs. What may have been a lengthy shuttle transfer.
We recommend touring Lake Garda, there is so much to see, the people are great and the charm of the villages/architecture/scenery around the lake is really breathtaking. It takes about 4 hours to lap the lake, recommend in stages to get the best experience.
Verona is very close to too (approx 35 minutes by car) and well worth the visit.
If you’re feeling ambitious, Venice is 1.5 hours away by car (we plan on visiting when we return)
You’ll not go hungry, the food is extremely plentiful and affordable wherever you are in and around the lake (plenty of vegan options too)
To summarise, if you’re looking for somewhere with charm, good honest people and service with a smile this is the one.
Don’t let a few minor faults with the hotel put you off a holiday to remember.
If like us, we were there to experience the culture, the scenery, the people, the food,..not to live in the hotel and pick out small irrelevant faults like cracked bathroom tiles and worn paintwork, this is unrealistic.
We look forward to returning in the future and send our best wishes to the staff!

Myself and my friend stayed here recently. This hotel was really run down. No mattress protector on the bed and hairs and stained in the bed that were not ours. The gentleman on the desk wasn’t very helpful, he said that the free way was one way and the lake 5km away and the restaurant was here and pointed. It cost €40 just to get a taxi one way to Peschiera del Garda and we weren’t prepared to keep paying that so we left the hotel and booked somewhere closer. On leaving I explained why we were leaving and asked the reception to call a taxi and we were told we need to call one ourselves as they were busy on the phone!! Such a lack of customer service. We left here after 1 night.

Response from Direttore Eurocongressi, Proprietario at La Rondinaia in Eurocongressi Hotel
Responded 26 Jan 2024

disappointed. this hotel is run down and in the middle of nowhere. it is advertised as having a spa, but it was shut when we went for refurbishment which was not advertised when booking. the breakfast sausage and bacon were cold. the manager reprimanded staff in front of us about not being on desk when they are supposed to, but this should have been done in private. the girls on reception were very sweet but seemed nervous when manager around. there are no shops or nothing for sale in hotel so you have to go into town which will cost you minimum of £25 every time you leave hotel. the hotel seems to be run by same minimal staff. there is hardly any guest and it seems like it is closed. would not go here again.

Stayed at the Eurocongressi for four night. My partner and I were greeted by the lovely ladies in reception. We were given our room and It was lovely. Had a lovely view of the village. The hotel is dated but that doesn’t take away the cleanliness. Our rooms were cleaned daily with fresh towels and rooms all mopped.
There’s a good selection of cakes and pastries for breakfast and a few options of eggs and omelettes. Plenty to choose from.
It’s in a good location, I would suggest hiring a car if you plan on travelling to sirmione.
We absolutely loved our time at this hotel and in Italy. Definitely recommend it to anyone looking to stay here.

This was very bad experience. Room was very dirty, and everywhere were ants - in bedroom and bathroom. I was very disaponted because ee paid IT expensive and we expected in 4-star hotel clean room. Also we could not opet windows so IT was too hot.

We came to this hotel after a long flight tired with two kids. Little one needed milk and the other one wanted iced water. This was at 10pm and the receptionist was really kind. The rooms were super clean. Bathroom was spacious. We stayed two nights. It was really close to Gardaland 15 to 20 min. The breakfast was good too. There was bit of everything. Freshly made crepes were loved by kids. The manager of the hotel was really friendly and helpful. There is a water park in front of the hotel that looked really nice but we didn’t had time to go. There is nothing bad to say about this place but to say excellent.

I had the most relaxing experience at this hotel.
The staff Kiara, Lucia, Ferdinando & the Director of the hotel were so kind and helpful with recommendations of things to do. Highly recommend I will go there again.
It’s very clean, breakfast is amazing, there is also a bar in case you want late night drinks. The room views are also breathtaking.
