We stayed here on our way to the Kruger Park and it is in e centre of Ermelo, on the road to the park. The accommodation was adequate, slightly dated. The restaurant was fantastic, beautifully decorated and the food was very good. The staff were very helpful, I, stupidly, had arrived without a toothbrush and although it was about 7...

What a surprise it was for us this little piece of haven. Me and my family were coming from Durban and needed a stop over for the night and there was Izimbali. Lots of beautiful mosaic, art, wonderful food and great staff. Good accommodation.

As per previous reviews... The restaurant is great with gooood food and friendly service... However, the lodge is...well i do not have much to say...improvement is needed all over, from service to service...loud people around when i want to sleep at 10pm, cold no heater, no wifi in rooms, rooms cramped had to put luggage in lounge, limited tv channels....

Thank you for taking time to review our property, however we are concerned that you took the time to go to social media with your complaint and not coming to us directly, this puts any business in a very vulnerable position for both the employer and the employees. We did try contacting you through your personal e-mail and your company...

Stayed over one night on a road trip and found the place to be wonderfully eclectic with its very own special vibe created by owner Driny. Food in the restaurant and value was excellent and service great. The only problem for one of our party was the noise of the trucks going constantly up and down the road - but...

Thank you for taking time to review our property, we really appreciate your input. Its unfortunate we have the trucks to deal with all the time but next time you may ask for a room much further from the road its much quieter there. Hope to host you again in the near future.

We had the absolute pleasure of having another delightful lunch at Izimbali on 16 May 2016. The cosy ambience once again embraced us and we felt right at home from the moment we entered the restaurant. Like my previous review mention the menu boasts a wide variety to choose from and is very reasonably priced in comparison to the exceptional...

This place gets points for there Resturant and that's about it. The rooms smelled like there was a fire in it recently they have no AIRCON or at least a fan in the room. The mosquitos were relentless they came and had a buffet on my body. It just seems that this place is substandard really not nearly 4 stars...

Izimbali Lodge is not an ordinary place. The lodge has been created by a renowned artist in conjunction with some of her peers and fellow artist. The theme off the lodge is to create an artistic environment. It is actually sad that people would resort to leave negative comments on social media rather than reporting any incident directly to our...

Excellent Service. Friendly and helpful staff. Decor - out of this world because it has the personal touch of the owner. A sea of paintings. Attention to detail. Breakfast was good, but if you are a vegetarian, make arrangements as most places do not cater for vegetarians, especially for breakfast ( especially the hot breakfast) Reception staff very professional, Rooms...

My husband and I had lunch on a couple occasions previously at Izimbali and even spend one night at Izimbali a while ago. We thoroughly enjoyed each and every splendid visit. On Thursday, 28 January 2016 we had the utmost pleasure of having lunch at Izimbali again. We were warmly welcomed by the owners and staff members. The restaurant boasts...

“At the back -- as trucks pass on the road in front. But they honestly didn't bother me, and I stayed in one of the Nyoni rooms closer to the road. The lodge provides earplugs, too, for those light sleepers out there.”
