The picture you see has no parking, you have to park outside the grounds. Really uncomfortable outside seating for drinks in the courtyard. Only the ground floor is accessible for people with walking difficulties. So no use of pool. Excellent room and bathroom. No english speaking TV. Set menus were really wierd, had a la carte main and cheese. Wine list silly price. And the Dress Code, you pay all that money to sit next to a guy wearing sunbathing top and shorts. Would not stay there again!

We booked the triple room which had a double bed and a single bed for one night. The room was very spacious and tastefully decorated with wooden furniture with two large windows overlooking the vineyards. There were four steps which were leading to a shower/ bathtub/ bathroom and a separate toilet. Everything was clean and quiet; a bonus was the swimming pool. The staff was very friendly and accommodated our late check in with no problems. We wished we would have stayed longer in this peaceful place which was in easy reach to all the sights of the area. We would definitely return to this place. The only recommendation I would like to make to correct the website which states that the restaurant is closed on Sunday but upon arrival they were still serving food around 22.00. It would have been useful to know this because many things are closed on the countryside.

We stayed one night at this beautiful an well appointed chateau. The building and setting was wonderful. The reception service was good. The room was lovely, the bed is great if you like it on the very firm (almost hard) side. We didnt have a shower in our room apart from a handeheld one. We had a great dinner, which couldnt be faiulted apart from the service whoich was a little chaotic. We were asked the same questions a number of times by different people, maybe the communication was not so good that night. It was lovely to spend a gentle, spread out evening's dining, but by the end of the evening even one of our party, a Frenchman was losing heart with the extremely slow service. By about 10.30 all the staff had disappeared but seemed to reappear on the front desk. The breakfast was delicious and the croissants superb. Having said all that, we will come back it was a lovely stay.

Château Fleur de Roques is a bit different from usual hotels in that it is open while under renovation. The room furniture was a mix of modern and old. Bed was good, wardrobe ancient, bathroom fairly modern. Lovely large window in the room. Good d.i.y cold breakfast (no bacon & eggs), good coffee. Restaurant serves very good food. The grounds around the hotel is fairly rough, so is the swimming pool entrance. The road leading up to the hotel has a dangerous blind bend around a house (be warned). Hotel has no night reception. Late arrivals must be agreed with management.

We were looking for vineyard views, a feeling of history, a pool (heatwave summer temperatures!) and, a touch of elegance in the room if possible. To our great delight, Chateau Fleur de Roques delivered. We had booked a month or two in advance, requesting an upstairs room with a view of the vines, and this is what we got. Check in was quick, friendly and efficient. No aircon, but a pedestal fan kept the room cool, it was a good size and had antique furnishings (it was a basic double, not a superior room). The pool was refreshing after the drive up through magical countryside covered with immaculately cared for vines. And the meal in the courtyard, while the food was not exactly exciting, was extremely pleasant and well-priced; service was again, fast, friendly and efficient and the surroundings, in the evening light, just lovely. Breakfast was fairly ordinary for the price, serve yourself bread, croissants, boiled eggs, one cheese, one salami and fruit. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay, and would happily stay there again.
