#1 of 3 Speciality lodging in Mouliherne
Le Chant d'Oiseau is a collection of ancient buildings gathered together in the heart of the Jardin de France, the Loire Valley. We offer a range of family, and disabled-friendly accommodation to suit all pockets without sacrifice to comfort or quality. Situated close to the major towns of Saumur, Angers and Tours. Weekend breaks, long-term rentals or holiday stays are all welcome here. Our three lovingly renovated gîtes offer spacious accommodation to a good specification, sleeping up to 5 people in Héron, 5 in Hibou and 2/3 in Chardonneret. The campsite has ten pitches, all arranged around the edge of a large lawned area of almost half an acre. There's a central play area for kids, firepit and BBQ for the bigger kids, as well as a 10 x 5 m heated, covered swimming pool. There's a boules court, wedding pergola, bar, covered eating area, ping-pong, billiard table and babyfoot! For those who camp, but like home comforts, we offer a fully fitted kitchen to prepare your meals in.

To be honest, I did not know what to expect from the campsite. But coming there was such a great decision! Le Chant d'Oiseau has a very unique atmosphere and the owners are lovely. They have told us soooooo many really touching stories that made me fell in love with the place. Can't wait to get back!

When I first saw Le Chant d'Oiseau on Instagram or Facebook I wasn't to convinced about going to this campsite. When I came back from visiting Syb and Stu home and their campsite, my opinion changed. I was very pleased with everything that they offered. The food was good and the atmosphere was really nice. Stu and Syb know how to welcome guest into their home. I would definitely recommend any family and friends here to spend some time together. It is a small, very cozy environment and everyone gets along. So, there will be no problem in having fun at Le Chant d'Oiseau.

Firstly about the campsite- it is beautiful, perfectly sized campsite for people who don’t want big and impersonal. It has everything you need and more. A beautiful new swimming pool which was a joy to swim in and table d’hôtes that you can join in with if you wish and absolutely no pressure if you don’t. There’s a bar and bread is delivered. All very clean and for this summer specifically, very very safe with antibac stations everywhere. This is our favourite campsite under any normal circumstances. The surrounding area is stunning with lots of forest walks and as we discovered this year, great cycling! HOWEVER, what really sets this place apart from anywhere else are the owners, Stu and Syb. You feel welcomed and you start to relax the minute you arrive because of their super friendly natures. This summer turned in to not one but three major medical events for my husband two of them potentially fatal and Stu and Syb were there for both of us for the full five and a half weeks that it spanned. They looked after me each time my husband was in hospital, they drove us to hospitals and helped with French translating! They fed me to keep me going and didn’t complain even on the third event when we woke them in the middle of the night to go to A and E. I don’t know anywhere else in the world, and we’ve travelled extensively, where you would be looked after so well and compassionately. We will never be able to thank them enough for their kindness and patience. This wasn’t our first visit, but this time we feel like we added to our family. If you want more than just ‘a campsite’ and you want to be looked after so you can really enjoy your time away...then this is the most amazing place to be!

Having just returned from this fabulous little gem in the Loire, a big thankyou to Stu & Syb for giving us the chance to rest, relax and have fun, in these tricky times. Always felt 100% safe. Pete & Lin

When we needed somewhere to stay at the last minute, Stu and Syb were wonderful. They are incredibly helpful and kind. The gite was great - exactly what we needed - spotless and with everything we needed for our stay. We stayed in the one room gite and there was absolutely everything we could have asked for (including a very welcome carafe of rose after a long journey!) The campsite is brilliant: table tennis, pool, pizza nights and menus to allow visitors to get together if that's what they want. It's clearly very family friendly and the new pool is fantastic. It's good that you can be quiet or join in as you want. I really couldn't recommend this highly enough - great value but the personal touch is what really sells Le Chant D'Oiseau. Amazing.
