This is old accommodation building near coffee factory and still work. Several room with medium class, more room with basic class. Generally is good for short staying to reach blue flame of Kawah Ijen and just one hour to reach.

Stayed here as part of the Bromo/Ijen tour with Nomad. The place is overpriced with small, not very clean rooms where the light doesn't work. Only one socket. Didn't use the shower. Food was overpriced and not nice. It's ok for the few hours sleep before you go to Ijen but DO NOT stay here for longer.

A nice place in a lovely village! The room was very basic but clean enough. The bed was comfy too! The village is so lovely to walk through especially to visit the waterfall which is about 1km away. The pool and hot pool is great too! The only thing really that let it down was the food. You only have...

I stayed for the purpose of climbing Mount Iijen in the morning and therefore only slept for a few hours. I did not try the food however there were limited options. Given its location and the reason people stay at the homestay, it is a functional room with a private bathroom. It is not that clean, however, was as expected....

I did not have huge expectations about the place, especially after reading some of the reviews. But it was not as bad as some say. Bathroom is very simple and there was no hot water, but for indonesia that wasn't surprising. Food was good, a bit expensive comparing to other restaurants, still very affordable for European pocket. The architecture of...

We stayed there for only one night on organized tour to Ijen. First impression was good, however the second look was terrible. The room was dirty. There was something like a bedside table still cover by crumbs. I think it is not hard job to clean it up. The floor was dirty too, I seriously doubt they ever swept it....

The room was pretty clean but the mattresses were from ages (they're really thin and not comfortable). If you're going to Kawah Ijen, it doesn't really matter because your night will be short. There is a restaurant directly in the hotel, good food (no choice, only one menu with some different a sorts of food).

If Ijen is the proverbial Mt Doom then Catimor guesthouse is Barad-Dur. Sleeping in the room is like sleeping in a prison cell. The only reason to tolerate staying here for a few hours is getting to Mt Ijen early in the morning. Besides the fact that Mt Ijen is spectacular, the second best reason to pay extra for a...

We stayed here for one night on our tour of Mount Bromo and Ijen. We were prepared for the accommodation to be awful, and found that it wasn't really that bad - certainly better than our Bromo hotel the night before! We are backpackers and don't mind simple accommodation as long as it is clean. We were given a room...

We have been travelling a while and so are used to crappy accommodation. If you are just on holiday, yes, this place sucks in comparison to a normal hotel. We were put in a 4 bed room (there were 2 of us), which was pretty clean. We even had hot water. The set meal dinner is not too bad either!...
