Again, a three-star max property masquerading as four-star (not their fault, I think, it must be the uneven criteria of the Italian rating system). Smallish rooms, small TV screens, erratic air conditioning. On top, they kept the restaurant closed, except for breakfast, which was nothing to write home about either. For us, it was a pit stop on our way further south. For that, it served its purpose.

As location, its close to the tile industry. New refurbished at rooms and clean rooms. Decoration and textiles for bedrooms better than Leon Doro Hotel (next door) However, beds and pillows are incredibly uncomfortable. I come Sassalo every year. Next year i wont stay due to the low bedding quality. Cos after all day long business, could not rest properly.

This is a nice hotel for business or leisure travel. Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast has a great variety of choices and staff are very attentive. The front desk clerks were more than accommodating. We would definitely stay here again.

I've stayed in Hotel Michelangelo from April 1 untill April 5 2016. People at the reception were very nice, as is to expected from people in this line of work. Not much information was given (apart from the room number and which time Breakfast would take place), I had to ask if I wanted to know things. For me that's not a problem, but I can see some improvement there, to be a bit more interactive. Rooms were good, clean, bed slept well. Some things were broken (tile, curtains) and the overall appearence was a bit dated. Nice size bathroom, shower could be a little big bigger, since I'm not that big and I can imagine a big fellow will have some problem moving around in there. Minibar was present and filled. For Italian standards, breadfast was simple but quite extensive. I also liked the time (from 07.00 - 10.00), so you can sleep in a bit. Very close to the hotel there is a very large Supermarket (about 3 minutes walk) and if you walk about 10 minutes further, there is also a small shopping mall, called Panorama. To the center of Sassuolo, it's about a mile (1,3 km). Bikes you can rent for free from the hotel. You are staying in an industrial area, so don't expect nice views. The road where the hotel is situated, is a very busy one, althoug you don't hear much in the rooms with the windows closed. In front of the hotel there is a very nice, large area where you can enjoy the outside, and there is a smoking area. There is also a restaurant, but I have not eaten there, so I can't say much about that. All in all a very nice stay and I would recommend this to anyone who has a short stay in or around Sassuolo.
