Lovely comments, thank you Robert. Don't forget we also have our 2 courses for £10 lunch menu in the Barn Restaurant which is great value if you fancy a couple of courses. You're right about the shopping, you can't beat the delightful independent shops in Corbridge. We look forward to welcoming you back very soon :)

great atmosphere, food was excellent, rooms were immaculate and clean A great stay just outside the hustle of Newcastle We ate in the restaurant which has a great atmosphere and décor and then had a few drinks in the bar. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful Would definitely return again possibly for Christmas

A lovely review, thank you Darren. As beautiful as Newcastle is, it is always nice to get away from city life to relax, and Corbridge is the ideal place to do that with its lovely, tranquil streets and boutique shops. We look forward to seeing you back here round Christmas, I promise it will look even more beautiful. We are...

We ate here recently and although we enjoyed our meal we were disappointed to wait 40 minutes for a burger. Other guests who arrived after us were served a good deal quicker than us. Fortunately we were not in a hurry! Hope the service is speedier for our next visit.

Stayed here for a wedding in June 2016, really enjoyable experience and will be back to eat in the restaurant as we live fairly locally. The wedding meal was stunning, beef cooked nice and pink, starter of scallops, pork belly and black pudding was sublime and the cheeseboard was arguably the best I have ever had. For the night time...

Thank you for taking the time to review your experience here at The Angel of Corbridge and for your lovely comments. I will certainly pass these on to the chefs who were in on the night, as well as the other staff & the Angelfish team. We acknowledge that The Radcliffe, across the road, is a little more basic than...

I visited the Angel for afternoon tea with my sister and mother in law as a treat. We were in the barn restaurant which was very quiet and peaceful, the decoration was quaint. After reading a few reviews I was expecting a very small portion but I have to say we were all delighted with the selection of beautiful sandwiches/cakes...

The Angel Inn was a comfortable stay; my room was huge and overlooked the river, although the bathroom was rather small and I kept banging my elbows in the shower. Our rooms were in a building across the road from the pub, which was fine (but then, it was sunny at the time). We ate in The Angel Inn for...

Thank you for your lovely review. I am glad you enjoyed your stay and our delicious food. Sounds like you had some lovely weather for your trip to Hadrian's Wall which is, in my opinion, an unbeatable destination in terms of scenery and walking. It is a fair trek off the wall itself but as you say perfect for visiting...

As I tend to 'business travel' south rather than north, I often end up using a chain hotel for convenience and ease of booking. This time I needed to be in rural Northumberland which means non-chain country. Nice greeting on arrival but told, not shown, that my room in the annexe was over the road - not great but not...

Thank you for your review, we hope you enjoyed your time in the friendly north east. The Radcliffe is currently undergoing some 'sprucing up' with the rooms being decorated as we speak as we acknowledge that it was in need of some love and attention. We are also making changes to the residents areas such as the lounge to make...

We have visited Corbridge twice and stayed for one night stopovers at the Angel Inn. We like the overall experience, an interesting small town to walk around, with several very good class clothing shops. The exceptionally good Chinese Restaurant is a must for our evening meal. The bar/lounge areas of the Angel Inn have a rather airy bistro like character...

If you are expecting a usual sized afternoon tea please beware. I was extremely disappointed with the micro afternoon tea that I was served yesterday at the Angel. I wouldn't mind if it had been at a micro price but at £14.95 + £4.95 for a glass of Prosecco instead of a cup of tea I felt absolutely robbed! The...

The Angel Inn is a beautiful traditional inn offering great local British food with warm and comfortable rooms and an apartment. The Angel Inn has a bar offering local ales, a lounge with a real fire, a private dining room and a barn restaurant. Corbridge is a pretty village, once a market town, that lies four miles east of Hexham on the banks of the River Tyne. Today it has a reputation for excellent shopping with various fashion boutiques lining the main shopping street. Our Bar, The 'hub' of what we do here at the Angel: a great Northumbrian breakfast, an extensive 'all day' menu offering great British food sourced from Northumbrian produce, great local ales, a superb wine list and exceptional service in friendly and safe surroundings. Our Lounge: A great place to relax with friends or a book. Comfortable leather seats, real fire, newspapers, great coffees, afternoon teas, glass of wine, choice of whisky or just a place to warm up after a long walk. Our Restaurant: Our restaurant is both elegant and spacious - sporting a characterful pitched roof with exposed oak beams. A superb venue for dining, which seats up to eighty guests comfortably for private parties, Christmas lunches and dinners or weddings. Our private dining room, the Angel's Table can accomodate up to 14 guests for breakfast, meetings and family gatherings including lunch, afternoon tea, dinner and a great Sunday lunch. ... more   less
