Having stayed there a night with my partner we enjoyed the room and inn very much. My only criticism is the food. It was all fine but not quite the standard I was expecting. The menu felt pretensions without being able to deliver. The bar was well stocked and warm. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We visited recently to celebrate my mother-in-law's birthday and had the Sunday lunch, we also took our 12 week old baby along and found the Angel to be a lovely warm and welcoming place to enjoy a baby friendly lunch- something that can be tricky to find with a grizzly baby and pram in tow! Ask for the table by...

Thank you for your review Rachel, I hope your Mother in Law enjoyed her birthday treat. The Barn Restaurant is certainly perfect for families, we like to ensure the tables are well spaced, which works well for prams and children. The cheese souffle is definitely one of my favourites, we can do it with extra sauce, so please don't hesitate...

I have just returned from having lunch with some friends. We ate in The Barn restaurant, which is very nicely set out. As well as the main restaurant menu, they also do a 2 course lunch for £10 and 3 course lunch £13, with a good varied choice on the menu. The food was absolutely delicious, and beautifully presented. The...

Thank you for taking the time to review your lunch at The Angel. Our Barn Lunch offer is really great value and offers our customers the chance to try new dishes that we may be trailing for future menus, or fresh specials using meats/ fish that we have got from local shoots, suppliers etc. We also do a Barn Dinner...

Thank you for this lovely review. Room 10 is one of my favourite places to take photos from, such a great view over the Tyne Valley and Corbridge Bridge. Our lamb is certainly one of our most popular dishes, and comes from our very own farm just 10 minutes down the road, so couldn't be more local. I will certainly...

I asked my elderly aunt if she would like lunch on Sunday and she agreed to visit Corbridge, I booked a table for three for Sunday lunch in the restaurant. What a lovely review Stephen, thank you. I will certainly pass on your comments to the kitchen and the Restaurant team, it sounds like they are doing a great job of providing great Northumbrian hospitality and making sure all of our customers feel at home. We popped into the angel for a hot cup of coffee to warm ourselves up after a beautiful country walk. We ordered to hot coffees and were greeted with a very frosty ok. We attempted to chat to the staff but got nothing back. We sat at a table and drank our coffee which was as warm as the greeting...

I am genuinely shocked by this rating and review. At The Angel, one of the things we pride ourselves on the most, is providing exceptional customer service and great Northumbrian hospitality; the fact that any customer would feel anything other than 'at home' is truly surprising. We choose our team carefully, selecting staff who are comfortable with making genuine conversation...

Several bald, middle-aged men arrived in Corbridge's premiere boozer after a good hike on Hadrian's wall. We hankered food, drink and warmth. This boozer pleasured us thus: good ale; smart and relaxed dinning room; good food and wonderfully delightful waitresses. Quite impressive. Lovely old job.

What a lovely and honest review. You can't beat a good old walk on Hadrian's Wall to blow away the cobwebs, but you are certainly in need of a nice log fire, couple of pints and some good hearty food afterwards, so I am glad that we could provide all of the above for you (alongside the warm Northumbrian welcome...

Thank you for your lovely review. We have just released our new winter menu and in doing so have produced a separate kids menu, so they can have their own little one now, as well as still offering to do half of many of our usual meals at half price (where possible), as we do find a lot of the...

The Angel Inn has a bar offering local ales, a lounge with a real fire, a private dining room and a barn restaurant. Our Lounge: A great place to relax with friends or a book. Comfortable leather seats, real fire, newspapers, great coffees, afternoon teas, glass of wine, choice of whisky or just a place to warm up after a long walk. Our Restaurant: Our restaurant is both elegant and spacious - sporting a characterful pitched roof with exposed oak beams. A superb venue for dining, which seats up to eighty guests comfortably for private parties, Christmas lunches and dinners or weddings.
