This is a good quality B&B. It has lovely old furniture, tasteful soft-furnishings, a decent bathroom, the best breakfast and the most comfortable night's sleep of the week we spent walking Hadrian's Wall. This was one of the more expensive of our overnight stays, but you could tell what you were getting for your money and I was happy to...

We found this B&B by a fortuitous route and so pleased that we did. Because our original overnight stop had closed for refurbishment our little group had to split for the night. Sheila has 2 rooms in her B&B and thankfully I chose her B&B from the 2 places we used that night. One of her rooms is a Double...

Room, bed, breakfast, service - all excellent. Such a pleasant lady running it, and she offered a lift to the local pub for dinner, cooked a great breakfast, and kept the rooms and bathrooms clean and well kept. A great place to stop as you walk along Hadrian's Wall!

What a fantastic place; lovely old farmhouse with an amazing view, William and Sheila are a really freindly and welcoming couple, but watch out for the breakfast! (it's deliscious, there's loads of it and before you know it you've eaten too much!). Wonderful place!

Sheila cares a great deal about appearances - she looks like she just walked out of a fashion magazine and her house is spotless. We had been hiking Hadrian's Wall Path and I was a bit concerned about messing up her house. No worries there, though. She takes great pride in accommodating everyone and will do cartwheels (as a lady...

I have just stayed at Halton Red House Farm for a night with friends as we walked Oswald's Way. As my title suggests it was perfect in every way! The rooms were very spacious, immaculate and comfortable. We ate before we arrived in the local village of Great Whittington and Sheila, our welcoming hostess, kindly picked us up from there...
