We spent 4 months in the Zwickau region on business and tried many restaurants during that time. While there are plenty of solid restaurants offering good food, there clearly is a very limited offering in that region regarding more refined cuisine. The Gästehaus Wolfsbrunn and its restaurant called "Artichoke" offered us a much missed and greatly appreciated break from the sea of comparatively culinary mediocrity. First impressions were already very positive. The hotel & restaurant are set in a beautiful park area and tastefully renovated, old castle-like building. Service is also very attentive, and we all went for their properly dry-aged steak offerings. The cuts of beef are of very high quality, are well prepared and were a delight to savor, as were the tasty and well-matched side-dishes. A good wine offering rounded off our very positive overall experience. I highly recommend this restaurant to all foodies who appreciate the finer things in life.…
This is a very nice hotel on a butiful location The garden is very nice with some water fontys You can eat till late in the evening out side with a butiful view on the garden and even When it will be cooler there where heaters The room was nice with a good bad room Reception was correct and they show you the way to your room An nice hotel on an very nice location
Had a wonderful stay in the palace-type building of Wolfsbrunn, all neat and nicely done, wonderfully decorated, especially in the christmas-time. Comfy beds and clean and well-equipped bathroom. Breakfast also rich and of good quality, only the service personnel could be a little more attentive, taking coffee and egg orders for example. Otherwise the eployees are all super friendly and professional. The attached restaurant is excellent too - a true gem in the middle of the Erzgebirge! Can't wait to go back one day!
We have been here more than 20 times and had a lot of different rooms. The largest suite and a normal double room. All are large and in different styles. Some we liked more, esp. the suites with the balcony in summertime and around christmas with the snow an the lights they have around everywhere. The restaurant kitchen is great and fresh, good wine list and really good service. Why not five points ? The service at the reception is sometimes great and other times unfriendly and with no helping hands.
Set in quiet spacious grounds, a really good hotel. We liked the large room we had on the 2nd floor, with a nice view. We ate in the restaurant which was first class in both quality of food and service. The small bar area was set up well and had a cozy, stylish atmosphere. We thoroughly recommend this place and would have liked to have stayed longer.
