Spacious rooms, well equipped, very comfortable, with unparalleled customer service. All the staff are welcoming, friendly and willing to help. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. The food is amazing! There is a fixed menu evening meal (soup, main course, desert followed by tea or coffee) with a vegetarian option. All dishes we were served were delicious. Breakfast was...

This simple hotel has a excellent location with beautiful scenery. Staff is very attentive. Food is excellent but fixed menu. Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable however no access to wifi. Very peaceful settings, fresh air, excellent walking tracks, lots of birds. So many positive things which I do not remember right now. Strongly recommended. Tea and cardigan plantations makes...

This is a unique, peaceful, beautiful spot. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. They helped us get to a nearby Ayervedic spa and made sure we got back. The rooms are basic, and the bathrooms are just adequate. The tea and diners were lovely, although one lunch we had was uninspiring. Even though the creature comforts are few, it's...

It's long haul from Kochi to the Windermere Estate so be prepared for around 4 hours up the winding road that serves communities along the way. We were welcomed on arrival and everything about the estate was explained personally to us. The staff, all male, were very attentive and friendly, the laundry service was really good, being returned the same...

The Windermere Plantation sits at 5000 feet, so the trip from sea level up to the tea plantations was really great, the scenery changes as you drive, and looks almost like Scotland. The staff were great, and we had some lovely meals in the restaurant. Everybody eats at 7.30pm, so it brings everybody together. Quite cool at night, because of...

We stayed here for two nights in February and really enjoyed our time here. Fabulous views over the surrounding countryside and spectacular views of the sunrise and sunset from the top of the enormous rock viewpoint. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff were excellent. We had some lovely walks from the property and the afternoon tea was a...

Relaxed hotel, very kind and caring staff, lovely gardens for an afternoon tea. Great view over Munnar. Nice to stay out of the town but easily accessible. Spice gardens near by very interesting and worth a trip.

This was my favourite accommodation during a recent 3 week trip to India. The planters cottages are delightful and set around the grounds. The views, especially from the lookout point are magnificent. The walk through the cardamom plantation was so interesting and also very welcome after a long drive from Kochi. As a family run concern, our interest in the...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and experience at Windermere. The location and scenery was breathtaking, but what really stood out was the friendly staff and the personal service they provided. The delicious food and the walk around the estate were real highlights too. Do be aware, though, that the accommodation is rather simple and dated in places. We suffered from...
