Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Una was the best, and went to work right away on helping me find my family roots. She was very knowledgeable about the area and allowed us to delay our departure. Her Irish breakfast was beyond ample and incredibly delicious. You certainly won't leave here hungry!

Una the owner was the best. So kind and as soon as we arrived she made us sandwiches and kept offering coffee tea and biscuits. Breakfast was amazing. She certainly knows how to feed her guests. The only complaint i had was the bed really needs to be replaced. Had springs sticking into me . Very uncomfortable. But i didn't want to mention it as she was just the best and so helpful in guiding us to some many wonderful sights.

If you are looking for modern look elsewhere. I was treated as well here as I've been treated by any host. Una was helpful and accommodating, but I had my space. I had a rough flight in, but felt comfortable and at home as soon as I arrived. A hot tea and sandwiches were prepared for me while I got to my room and had a needed shower. Breakfast was great, beautiful view of the Analee while eating. Classic Irish farmhouse.

We recently stayed at this house for a few nights. On arriving we were welcomed by una who is a really nice friendly person. She cooked a great breakfast every morning which was very nice. However the house really needs to be updated. Our room looked to have been one of the older rooms in the house Out room was dusty ..not cleaned properly ...dust on tables....bed side lockers were dusty and had some stuff thrown into them. Old ornaments on the shelves ....old tv up on top of wardrobe which was very uncomfortable to watch. There was cobwebs around d windows and the whole place could do with a shot of paint. We also had no hot water one morning ....chanced it that evening again and was still no hot water for a shower. We then asked the following day and the water was then turned on but took ages for our shower to heat up. Also our curtain rail was old and shabby and one of them was broken. Curtain hanging off. The beds were comfortable and rooms were warm. It's very quite there every night. Breakfast time the food was delicious however the room was still very old and needed updating. Could do with new cutlery. It is a really friendly b and b but needs to be brought back out of the 1800's, everything in there seems to be there a long long time. Overall it would be a great place if it was brought to life but been very old it's just lacking that spark. If u want a modern place to stay, well then u need to look elsewhere.

Stayed here after attending a wedding at the Errigal House Hotel. Stayed in the single room for €35 which was a good price still awful - you couldn't pay me to stay here! There were cobwebs on the windows and bedding had a mouldy, musty feel and small to it. No en suite and no power sockets (!?) Decor needs updating. Breakfast was oily and cluttered. It was a cross between Fawlty Towers and Father Ted. Would not recommend.

We were late arriving and our hostess Una had to come and find us as we were lost. She was also late for a birthday celebration but took the time to make us a cup of tea and some biscuits before she left. We were very happy with our room and our breakfast. This has been a family home and we were made to feel like family. It was a lovely 3 nights and we would go back anytime. If you want flash you won't find it here but if you want warmth and welcome and comfort that is here in abundance.

The night we arrived we were greeted with biscuts and tea and soft beverages. Una is a very nice host and was extremley welcoming to us. Both nights I had a very pleasent sleep and the full irish breakfast is something you wont forget. Everything on the plate is scrumptious from the potato brad to the bacon to the blackpudding. It was in an ideal location near lots of relatives and Cavan town. I would defineatly reccomend this B&B to people looking for a place to stay in county cavan
