Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I went for one day!! Thank god I didn’t book for the weekend. I arrived on Saturday and was given a dulux room hoping to be nicer than the standard room , opened the room door the lamp shad Hanging down, dirty marks on the walls as if someone throw oli over the walls, one off the chairs in the room riped,no paper in the toilet, wasn’t a nice room at all. Asked to be moved but the hotel had a wedding on that day so the hotel was full. Went out for dinner an came back and went to the room flit so down and had a word at the front desk I was about to go home but stayed because it was late. With the wedding on the music went on till 1.00 to 1.30 , finally got to sleep but at 2.45 was woke up with the room next to us having a party ! Rang down and this went on 3.15 rang again, they came up and told them to get to sleep . Didn’t get back to sleep till 4.30 In the morning, just terrible.this hotel isn’t 4 stars this is a 2-3 star hotel!! Went for breakfast next morning and asked for the manager (PAT) to call me in my room ! He had a chat and I told him what went on last night and I wasn’t happy at all ,he said he’ll ring me back in my room. Waited for 15-20 minutes but no call back, it was time to leave so I went down to the front desk , I didn’t want to pay for the terrible stay and wanted to speak to PAT but was told PAT has left for the day (which was 11.30 in the morning) and offered to give me €20 off my bill (from €180 ) . It would have meant more to me if he didn’t hide from speaking to me which he said he will call me back ..that was a lousy Thing he done. I have told 10 off my friends about this stay an they’ll till 10 others .. I wouldnt recommend this hotel to anyone..if PAT offered me a free stay I would rather sleep outside.. Thank you again PAT PS PAT I’m putting some pictures off you hotel room so people can see what they’re paying for!!

We really enjoyed our stay. The food in the bar was fantastic. Really lovely breakfast the next morning. We had a fabulously clean, modern and comfortable room. The hotel is a little hideaway from the hustle and bustle. Close to Stairway to Heaven and Marble Arch caves.

We had our wedding here in July this year. Everything was just amazing from start to finish. Our wedding was booked throughout covid, with a lot of swapping and changing nothing was of any hassle to Niall and his team. Niall is very professional at his job, and has a great team behind him, this took a lot of stress of us while trying to plan and re-plan our wedding. We got married at the hotel and it was just absolutely magical. Beautiful hotel, modern décor and very clean. This team really went over and above for us. The food was amazing- In fact people are still talking about it. If we had to do the day over again, we wouldn't change a thing. 5 starts, well done :)

Stayed at the Errigal Hotel for my husband's cousin's wedding. From arrival to departure the staff were so welcoming and professional. Rooms are to a very good standard of cleanliness and decorated very nicely. The function room for the event was absolutely stunning. Cannot say enough about it. All in all, I would recommend this hotel to a friend.

Wonderful wedding venue in picturesque grounds. Rooms are dated and not well cleaned with aircon that blows out warm out despite setting at 16degrees. Flys absolutely everywhere with no obviously control measures on the hotels behalf, especially in the bar, slightly concerning as to why? Flys don’t gather for no reason. Breakfast was perfect, perfect eggs, plenty of options, quick & attentive service.

Firstly the surrounding area at the hotel is lovely . Set back off the road in well looked after grounds . The entrance and lobby areas were spotless and there was plenty of car parking . The guy on reception was so helpful and nice . He was also helping out on the bar/restaurant and couldn’t do enough for guests . He was run off his feet and is a credit to the hotel . The room we had was huge with a terrace . The terrace was clean also and very spacious . Nice to sit out on but not an amazing view (although this can’t be helped obviously and wasn’t a problem ). The room itself seemed clean and was well stocked with tea/coffee. Plenty of towels in the massive bathroom with a separate shower cubicle and jacuzzi bath. The bed was comfortable but there was a dirty pillow and the top sheet wasn’t clean when pulled back. Looked like dried in blood or something on it ? When I filled the bath and turned on the jets there was something black coming from them so I didn’t bother getting in. The bathroom , although very clean , had a horrible smell in it too. I did mention these things on check out to the girl on the desk but she didn’t reply . The food in the bar was really good. The starter of fried brie was delicious and came with a salad . Also def recommend the panna cotta ! The bar wasn’t busy but still had a good atmosphere and the service was amazing. Breakfast was also very good . Hot with a good menu selection along with the usual cereals etc the staff at breakfast were excellent too. All in all the staf here are so hardworking and pleasant . They def make the experience better . Was a bit disappointed with the room and bathroom esp an I paid extra for a jacuzzi bath that I couldn’t use .
