Stayed here on the 8th and the 11th April 2022 with my grandparents and mum as we were in Ireland for a family wedding, and both nights we had a really lovely stay. Mrs Hughes looked after us really well and made us feel at home, the rooms are spotless with beautiful views and the breakfast was delicious and freshly cooked, just the thing to set you up for the day. We would absolutely reccomend Church View Guest House. Many thanks for accomodating us x

I was on Family holiday with My Mam and Brother and Maura looked after us so well in the Church View Guest House. We stayed for 2 nights Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th August 2021. The location is excellent right in the heart of the town of Belturbet and just right outside the door is the local shop and there are some great local Bars/restaurants to enjoy food. Maura made us an incredible breakfast each morning and the bedrooms were so comfortable and there is a nice living room to relax and watch tv and make a cup of tea..... We had an excellent stay, Thank you Maura for looking after us so well and making us feel so welcome.

I stayed for a fishing trip . Perfect accommodation and the owner Maura is lovey and cooks a mean breakfast . It’s situated right in the town and only a walk from the river. The price is extremely reasonable too.

We booked the place just to be nearer to Dublin Airport before returning our hire car there. What a good choice it was! We received an extremely warm welcome, like old friends. The hostess, Maura, offered to carry our cases and gave us a huge family room and an option for another one if we did not like it. We did and then she brought us a huge pot of tea and a plate with enormous scones and jam...together with maps and infos about the area and town, where to eat and where to find live music that night! What a treat! There is not the spectacular scenery you get in other places and sadly many houses in town seem vacated, but in every shop we went we got enrolled in lengthy conversation with friendly locals.
The live music in a pub was great and we also had a fantastic sunset which we watched from the marina, our only clear night of the tour.
As you can see from the photos in the hall, the Dubliners also used to stay there . No wonder they felt at home there!
We would certainly break our journey there again and it is aso very convenient for a tour into Northetn Ireland, only a few miles away.

We stopped at Church View Guest House for the Easter weekend whilst visiting family. It was lovely to be greeted by Maura who was incredibly friendly and helpful, The accommodation was everything that it was described as on the website. The rooms were furnished well and very clean, heating was spot on, There was a lounge with tea making facilities, biscuits whenever they were required. The shower was just right. Breakfast (Irish of course) could not have been improved at all. There were other choices, vegetarian could be recommended too. Maura is a lovely host, who could not do enough for us. We would not hesitate to recommend Church View to any family or friends travelling to County Cavan. The roads have improved so much in last 10 years that you can get anywhere so quick. Great parking facilities and very close to most amenities. Local shops are very friendly.
We are looking forward to our next visit.

Being both a fisherman and golfer, this guest house is ideally situated for it's many superb lake's and fine golf courses. the facility's, room's and knowledge of local areas by the proprietor's is very useful to first time visitor's.
I have made many friend's here over the year's,who like before book there next trip before they leave.
For the angler there is a large walk-in fridge, and drying room. All the town's amenities are in easy reach of the guesthouse, with plenty of choice for dining and a wide choice off local bar's.

We had a week’s fishing stay with Maura. From moment arriving to last day leaving I’d say it was the best accommodation in 15 years of coming over to Ireland.

Simply ticked all the boxes (and more)- ideally located, rooms perfect, brekkie perfect, great parking access, bait/tackle storage facility brill. And regularly get a lovely waggy tail welcome from Larry the family’s pup lab!

If anyone was thinking about setting up a B&B then go to Church View to see Maura and get a lesson in excellence of how it’s done.

From the moment we arrived Maura was welcoming and very helpful, giving us a pot of tea and snacks when we arrived. Maura was very informative telling us about different walking trails around and about the walking festival. She also made us fabulous sandwich's for our walk.

The rooms are very spacious and spotless with free wifi, I'm in love with the shower it was so powerful better than some hotels I have stayed in. The breakfast was very tasty and lots of it which sets you up for the day.

Would highly recommend

Perfect for what we wanted. Lovely beds and lovely breakfast. Right in the centre of the town. Beware, as the name suggests, it's right beside the church so the bells do go off for mass but they didn't effect us as we were up before mass time and we were out until late the night before. Own key and entrance so nobody heeds you coming and going. Thanks all.
