We stay at a lot of B&B's and I was disappointed at this one. First of all there was a strong dog smell as soon as you entered the house. I like dogs but not their odors. The dog was also allowed on the furniture in the guest lounge. I would not go near that room. The smell permeated the...

We recently stayed at Thistlebrae for an anniversary "getaway" weekend. Our gracious hostess, Jennifer, went out of her way to make it a special weekend for us. Thistlebrae is as beautiful, charming and comfortable as it sounds and Jennifer's breakfasts are absolutely scrumptious. We loved Fergus; it's a quiet town nestled alongside the Grand River and it has the most...

The street is quiet and just steps from a great Indian restaurant and a nice pub overlooking the water. Fergus is a 5 minute drive from Elora which is great. Jennifer's breakfasts are deliscious She is also very knowledgable about the...

Nice B&B. We do not normally stay in B&B's. This was pleasant and the breakfast was good. We will continue with our RV in the future. The owner was welcoming and very friendly. The location is on a busy street so if you have difficulty sleeping ask for the back bedroom. The mattresses are firm and not a bit soft.

We had a great dinner at Scozia a few blocks away. The room was lovely and the beds were very comfortable. To top it off we had a delightful breakfast! I wish I had asked...
