Was here last week to celebrate the retirement of two friends. The hotel is beautifully situated by the river. The gardens are wonderful and are essentially an outdoor art exhibition with brilliant sculptures and other creations. However we were here to eat and that we did in style. We had a choice of either the fixed price menu or the...

Exceptional treat for 15 ladies of Milford on Sea WI. Greeted by James with Prosecco and canapés before dining in the private dining room. Our 2 course lunch was absolutely delicious and of exceptional proportions served by our hostess Stacey who informed us of forthcoming events and proposed improvements to the Hotel. Without doubt a very memorable day and one...

Our son recommended this Hotel/Restaurant to us, so we went to look. We were amazed at the staggering gardens full of interesting hand made artefacts. The Terrace was delightful and we chose to eat outside as most of the lunchtime did. The set menu for lunch was brilliant, and sensibly priced. The meal was actually beautiful presented, cooked to perfection...

Visited here for 2 nights last week. Gorgeous converted mill we were upgraded very kindly to a suite which was lovely to have a separate sitting room. Room was well equipped with tea and coffee of all kinds, bed very comfortable and furnishings in keeping with the style of the place. We had dinner in the restaurant on the first...

I must apologise to all the staff especially the lady in the pink cardigan for troubling you by coming to have lunch in your charming restaurant today. I don't know what happened today but I have never felt so unwanted in a restaurant. No-one to greet us on arrival and then surly slow service from then on. The food was...

We stayed two nights and really enjoyed it, wish we had had more time to hang out in the beautiful gardens. The room was small but lovely, and breakfast had quite good choices--try the local smoked trout! Dinner was very good, and we had an excellent wine.

We had 2 wonderful nights here as a birthday treat and can't wait to go back. The room was great - really comfortable - and the food was outstanding. I've never been anywhere with such friendly staff - they were all professional and highly efficient but so friendly - every person you pass greets you with a smile and you...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
We are a pretty privately owned restaurant with 7 lovely individually decorated bedrooms, serving gorgeous local or organic food. We try not to be pretentious, preferring instead to be informal and friendly, but we are still totally committed to quality and service. But the best part of all is the river and rambling gardens, home to a family of ducks and if you are lucky you might even spot a Kingfisher! ... more   less
