Beer is a quaint little village, ideally located for visiting the larger towns of Sidmouth and Lyme Regis. The Dolphin was a pleasant but slightly old fashioned hotel, staff great and food in the restaurant ok. We had bedroom 24 in the rear, overlooking a back car park and kitchen area, which we were a little disappointed with. The humming...

Booked the Dolphin on a whim as I had a few days holiday to use up with work. Easy to find with its own car park which was useful,Beer itself is a quaint little fishing village that exudes a charm of its own. Anyway back to the hotel, staff were friendly and helpful the room was clean and well appointed...

We stay in Beer twice a year. We always receive a warm welcome at the Dolphin. We take our dog in with us and she gets an even warmer welcome. It is a very traditional pub with bar skittles, pool table and dart board. It is a hotel but we only use the pub. The hotel looks lovely.

4 of us and dog arrived for lunch last Monday 8/2/16 at 1:30. we ordered our food which was good. When we came to order dessert just after 2:00 we were told there was no further service as the waiting staff had gone home. We thought this was very poor as this is a hotel. We had the feeling that...

Had a lovely lunch here today with a group of 16 ladies. A little bit of a confuffle regarding one of the ladies lunches, due to a choice forget fullness on one of our ladies parts, which resulted in someone having to wait for another lunch to be cooked and an extra meal having to be paid for. We dealt with...

The hotel is definitely a great option for a short stay in lovely Beer; however, you need to be prepared for pretty noisy rooms and not the most comfortable of matresses!! Having said that, staff are very friendly, my room was clean and food at the restaurant was pretty good as well.

I strongly object to them only running a tab for meals by taking your credit card and keeping it behind the bar. They should either ask for meals and drinks to be paid for with order or take a card swipe. The card processing companies do not allow this and neither should they for very obvious reasons. This is matched...

Beer is a lovely fishing village to visit in the winter, when it's generally void of crowds hence by November break. The Dolphin hotel offered a single on suite room for £35, and this room proved to be more than adequate. The room itself was very clean, and the bathroom was well kept with that detergent fresh smell, I couldn't...
