Lovely weekend break in Beer for a married couple. Room at Durham House very nicely appointed and spacious, great furnishings and generous tea and coffee facility. Did not have time to try the breakfast but enjoyed a lovely evening at the Dolphin (happened upon a very welcoming 70th birthday celebration), complete with live music. The beach as ever was breath...

We did a really last minute booking and we're glad we did. Friendly owner Richard welcomed us and nothing was too much trouble. We had a lovely room overlooking Fore Street with a comfortable bed, and sweets and biscuits were a nice touch. The breakfast was generous and tasty. It's cash or cheque only so make sure you have cash,...

Stayed for 1 night here on 30th October 2016. This is a lovely Victorian house which had been decorated very tastefully. There is no parking at this B&B, but you park your car further down the road in the Car Park, you are then re-embursed by the B&B when you pay your bill Our room was on the second floor...

Lovely decor. Comfortable, warm and clean. Wide choice of delicious breakfast.. Small sitting room with couch, telly, ensuite - essential if the weather is not good. Friendly efficient staff. Parking tricky. Take lots of pound coins.

We arrived at Durham House and found no one to greet us. I knew from our previous visit that we had to stop on double yellow lines outside and rush in to pick up a parking permit for the local car park but wasn't expecting to have to look around for an envelope with our keys and permit inside.. Our...

The apartment was recently refurbished to a high standard and was lovely and clean. Breakfast was delivered to the apartment each morning with a very good selection of fresh fruit, yoghurts, cereals, pastries and juices, coffee and tea. There was a honesty bar with a standard offering of beers, wines and spirits. We were really impressed with the bathroom, it...

My daughter and I had come down to Beer for a few days and we chose Durham House. First impressions when you walk in are 'this is a nice place' clean, tidy and welcoming. We weren't disappointed when shown to our room either tastefully decorated and spotless everywhere. The breakfasts were lovely and the best poached eggs I have had...

We were lucky enough to stay at the Durham house B&B for two nights last weekend. Richard & Sophie ( the new owners ) took it over earlier in the year and have done a fabulous job in how they are running it. The rooms were really good with en suite showers and were spotlessly clean. The cooked breakfast was...

This is an excellent B&B, right in the high street, short stroll to several good restaurants. The owner was there when we arrived, he was welcoming and very relaxed. The room was lovely, big brass bed and plenty of tea bags (can't believe how many B&Bs only give you 2 - not enough for afternoon and morning tea for 2)....
