Absolutely beautiful hotel The food is amazing for all inclusive not one complaint at all all the staff are so nice and each and everyone of them couldn’t do enough for us . We stayed for 11 nights and I can honestly say there was not one thing that went Wrong from start to finish we couldn’t keep our room on the last day as hotel was full they provided us showers and fresh towels to compensate also the manager showed his presence a lot and took the time to speak to guests ,great choice of food and Drinks not served in stupid plastic cups , the deserts were to die for If I had to make one complaint it would be that we have gained about a stone each in weight while away 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I was staying in Dore boutique hotel in the end of august and I’m really satisfied with it. The staff is very nice, attentive, friendly and helpful. Food is great, especially if u like a large variety of deserts. Also a good variety of drinks, good Greek wines. Rooms are exceptionally clean, light, spacious and beds are super comfy - not too soft and not too hard. Also a big plus -there are anti mosquito nets on balcony doors, sadly not every hotel has them. Especially recommended rooms with sea view!! Definitely worthy investment ;) felt like I did a right choice booking a sea view room. The hotel is also really close to the sea, like 5-7 min walking distance. On the day of arrival even after checkout u can use a guest shower, that’s a very convenient option for flights in the afternoon. I highly recommend booking this hotel ;)

Great hotel with very friendly staff. The hotel is very clean - the staff in this area does a great job. The pool is large, clean and there is always a free chair. The rooms are large and nicely decorated with air condition. The food is very good and every day there is a new dish - not to mention the desserts which are insane. The hotel also has a gym, which is not large but has everything you need to exercise. There was no problem with late checkout and the cost was low. Definitely deserves five stars. Things that could be improved: - smart TV in the room, - new ping-pong paddles. - better air supply in the gym (you can't do cardio there) - Soundproof doors in the room. Big thanks to Ammarilys, Christina and Katerina who are always smiling and very helpful <3

I had high expectations for this hotel as I chose to stay here based on the TripAdvisor reviews. I was not disappointed! One mild glitch was that I had opted for the ‘most expensive’ sea view room, which I assumed would be one of the North-facing rooms overlooking the pool with a direct view of the sea. We were initially escorted to a small West facing room which did technically have a view of the sea, but was not what I was expecting. When I queried this with the manager he explained that all the west facing rooms were also considered ‘sea view’. Thankfully when I explained I had hoped to be overlooking the pool/sea, we were moved to a much larger North-facing room which was a massive improvement! (Thank you management!) The only other mild disappointment was that we had looked forward to the swim-up bar described in the info we’d seen, but it turns out that in 2020 the hotel completely upgraded their pool area and the swim up bar was replaced with a fire pit seating area, which was pretty and all, but not what we were expecting. Other than that, we couldn’t have been happier! Rooms were great, food was excellent, restaurant and bar staff were great! We were particularly amazed at how quiet the pool area was despite the hotel being at near maximum capacity (only 50 rooms) when we stayed. There was never a time when we couldn’t have got sun-beds around the pool and at times, we were the only people swimming in the pool. The location is slightly set back from the main coast road. 30 seconds from the road and another minute or so to get to the beach. We were disappointed with the nearest beach though, so stuck to the hotel pool most of the time. I highly recommend this hotel and would happily stay here again.

Room Tip: Nearest beach is disappointing. I would recommend hiring a car and going to Falsarna and/or...

The easiest way to compile my thoughts is to bullet point them below in no particular order; * Wi-Fi - reasonable in rooms, 9-10mbps at very best, virtually non-existent in pool/bar area. * Rooms - don’t look anywhere near as nice as shown on the website. Still OK, free AC is very good. We had a sea view room but it neglects to mention the wasteland directly outside your room. Showers are open to the rest of the bathroom which results in a flood every time you use them and no actual shower bracket at head height so you have to hold the shower head - weird. Rooms are cleaned every day to a below average standard, why not replace glasses and mugs? * Food - generic all inclusive fare, certainly nothing spectacular as claimed on the website and by other guests on Tripadvisor. Pretty bland across the board (probably to cater for the German palate). Some days difficult to find anything appetising to eat (yes I know you can always have salad or pasta but I didn’t pay a premium price to just get by). We ate out every night bar one. ‘Snack bar’ is stuff recycled from breakfast and lunch, nothing made to order and has generally been unhygienically picked through by some kids. This is a bit of a con I feel. Meal times finish at least an hour too early at breakfast, lunch and dinner. * Drinks - beer isn’t very nice. All branded spirits which is great but the mixers are far too sweet so all drinks just taste of sugar. Bar area is sterile and no fun at all at night. * Clientele - I estimate the guest nationalities to be made up of 50% German, 30% Greek, 10% don’t know and 10% British. This makes for a dull experience most of the time (because of the Germans) punctuated by occasional bedlam and screeching out of control kids. This should really be pointed out prior to booking as it makes for a frustrating experience for the British. Some French turned up toward the end of our stay and the less said about them the better. * Pool area - nice big pool, pool itself could be a bit cleaner but well kept generally and plenty of sunloungers all day. * Staff - Christina and Denes behind the bar are superb. Amaryllis was lovely. * The area - Agia Marina is pretty run down with surprisingly few restaurants and even fewer bars. The stretch of beach nearest to the hotel is not good (very rocky), it gets better further down near Cabana Mare but still not great. The hotel is set back from the main road in a bit of a decrepit area, if you walked through a similar area in the UK at night you wouldn’t feel safe, but it’s OK here. * Cretan government - the entire area of Chania was in a lockdown for the entire 2 weeks of our stay which resulted in no music being played anywhere. How this can prevent COVID transmission in outdoor bars baffles me. Ludicrous decision. All in all, an average experience made worse by the lockdown. Most all inclusive places have that hollow feel and this place is no different. We had high expectations but these were not met.
