Although, Taha Tai don't seem to follow the norms for a hotel servicing an international clientele, it does have its charms and the owners and staff are really pleasant. The location is pretty much perfect in our view - we walked almost everywhere, but a taxi will cost you about $4 to go most places around town. A lot of...

Strong air condition, spacious room, but the amenities are a bit old. Shower isn't as nice. People still keep coming to visit the island so no good incentive to improve. But the staff is very friendly and helpful.

A nice hotel. Not much of a balcony which was overlooking a weedy area. Breakfast was good, nice local fruit and juices plus other hot food. Why do hotels offer so much sweet stuff for breakfast? No tea and coffee in rooms which we miss. Clean and well kept. Good position, easy walk to harbour and main street. I would...

The Taha Tai Hotel makes you feel like a member of the family the minute you walk off the plane at Mataveri Airport (the most remote landing strip in the world). There you’re greeted by smiling hotel staff, descendants of the original Rapa Nuis, with a lei of flowers, followed by a free shuttle to the hotel and a delicious...

Taha Tai is a very comfortable hotel that is right next to the sea (with a view from the restaurant of the setting sun). While not luxury it has all the amenities you need and is kept spotlessly clean. The staff are professional and helpful, the breakfast's reasonable and the grounds well kept. While relatively expensive for what you get,...

The Taha Tai welcomes you with a lei of flowers in the Mataveri Airport and brings you for a welcome drink at the hotel. The bungalows are awesome with air conditioning, safe, and a sunny terrace. The breakfast is included and is complete with fruits, cakes, breads, scrambled eggs and sausage, just to mention a few, plus coffe and juices....

My husband, daughter and I spent 2 nights on Easter Island, at Taha Tai. It was a great spot for our visit. We were in the main building in a triple room - and wow, the air conditioning was wonderful! Hotel is a short walk or drive to the main street, and we enjoyed driving around exploring the island (we...

We stayed at the Taha Tai hotel during our recent stay visiting Easter Island. The staff was very professional, the hotel well situated seaside so that you can walk around Hanga Roa. The breakfast buffet allowed us to get our day off to a good start. After 2 plus days of flying and layovers from Vancouver, when my head hit...

We thoroughly enjoyed our 4-night stay at Taha Tai. Air conditioning really helps; we slept 9 hours every night after busy days exploring. Very clean, good breakfasts, but it was the excellent service that impressed us the most, from the front desk to the immediate response to any problems. The pool is small but refreshing and makes a great place...
