When I first arrived at the hotel I was a bit concerned that it was too far away from the principal town in Easter Island. However the views were stunning and the tranquility was great. The food in the restaurant was of a very high quality if a little expensive. However, the whole of Easter Island is expensive and the...

The rooms were large, comfortable, clean and well equipped with e the exception of A/C which would be helpful due to the heat and humidity. Service was excellent and the buffet breakfast and resuarant were very good. The advantage of this hotel is that it is not all inclusive. Tours can be planned but are not part of the stay.

The Altiplanico is a lovely hotel located in a lovely part of the island. It you enjoy walking, it is easy to take the path down to the trail that leads along the ocean to the city. If not, take a taxi. Easter Island is expensive and the Altiplanico is expensive, its restaurant especially so. That would be ok if...

Firstly credit where it is due. Easter Island is a revelation for the senses and the spirit. Far, far better than my expectations, for a tiny island it has a startling number of world class highlights. The Moai are beautiful, mysterious and plentiful, the historical, restored town of Orongo set on a high cliff by a spectacular volcano site is...

This is a small hotel with excellent service from its entire staff. They really make you feel at home. The hotel has good infrastructure, with the main needs to make your stay pleasant. Nothing luxurious, which you could expect due to the price, but at the end, prices at Easter Island are very high. Ending your day, taking a nice...

We spent 3 nights here and was not overly impressed with the hotel. Each room is more like a hut with an outdoor shower and glass patio doors that open to the outside. There is no AC in the room so we had to sleep with our glass door open otherwise it would get too hot. However, that also meant...

Nice hotel but without a doubt overpriced even when considering that you are in Easter Island. We specifically requested a room with sea views and where told that our resevation did not specify our request. When we showed the written confirmation we were then offered a room with a view to the road and lobby and beyond that, if you...

Hotel was good, staff friendly with decent English from most of the customer facing staff. Easter Island is expensive and the Hotel's relative distance from town promotes guest to eat in the restaurant on site - quality is good but choice limited and it is expensive - but then everywhere is. The fish and in particular any dish with tuna...

Nice hotel, I suppose one of the best in Easter Island. The bungalow are simply decorated, very clean and charming. The glass top on the massive shower is really cool. Breakfast is good, with options and nice different tarts every day. At sunset the staff lights up a fire in the restaurant deck and you can seat enjoying a nice...

Stayed here 3 nights as part of a package deal during the recent LAN sale to Easter Island. Lovely ocean views, good food, and gracious service. Based on other reviews, we requested Room 17. Quite a little trek up to the room, but you are rewarded with privacy and spectacular views. If you have bad knees, might not request it....
