We stayed at Kaimana Inn with my in-laws. Marcelo was wonderful at all times. He helped us with the booking, moving around, transportation to and from the airport and some other details . The location is central to everything on the island, so we could walk around with no issues. Breakfast time was excellent everyday. I was very happy and...

The numerous positive reviews let you know that Marcelo runs an excellent guest house. Options on EI are limited - small family run guest houses and extremely expensive resorts. And most of the guest houses seem the same from pictures and reviews. But not all are equal. Kaimana Inn was amazing! Marcelo meets you at the airport and does a...

This was a good spot to say for the location. Easter Island is not cheap and we chose what we could afford. The hotel exceeded what we could have ever thought. The people really take a lot of pride in their places welcoming you to their island. It really had a true Polynesian feel to it.

The Kaimana Inn is a guest house of six rooms around an open-air commons area in the back yard of the impressive owner Marcelo Valdes and his family, about a 100 yards from the main street in Hanga Roa. Marcelo is integrated into your stay on Easter Island in that he will pick you up at the airport and give...

Generally on Easter Island there are two types of hotels: guest houses some enterprising Islander pretty much rents out rooms and calls it a "hotel" and the expensive all inclusive resorts. Kaimana Inn is a category right between these two. Not quite resort, not quite guest house. Marcelo, the Owner, picked us up right on time from the airport which...

Small hotel with good location. Nice sitting area and having a kitchen in the main area was great to save money instead of going out for every meal. Rooms are basic and comfortable. The owner Marcelo is helpful and friendly.

Great location, close to everything. The common area looks attractive and it is comfortable. The rooms are basic. The showerhead in our bathroom was broken. Marcelo was late to pick us up at the airport and to drop us off. The overall feeling is that the family is more concerned with making profit out of the hot tourist destination rather...

We were really excited to stay at the Kaimana Inn based on all the positive reviews but unfortunately all the poor ones stated when the owner is away this is not the place to stay is true. This is a great location but for the experience we had there I would not recommend it! It started at the airport our...

We spent four nights at the Kaimana. Breakfast was good - fresh fruit, cold cuts, cheese, coffee, and delicious bread. The owner and all of the employees seem very nice (only the owner speaks English). I believe they would organize tours for guests but we rented bicycles one day and the rest of the time a friend lent us a...

Was picked up by Marcelo at airport, he was there and had a sign for myself and another family and gave us all welcoming flower necklaces (lay). He took us for a quick tour around town 10-15 minutes (to orientate us) and dropped me off at car rental place (to pick up ATV) and brought my bags to hotel. The...
