I booked Balachladaich for 2 reasons, to break the journey to Fort Augustus and for the view of Loch Ness. Very modern property about a mile from Dores on the south side of the Loch. After a phone call to gain access to the property we arrived at our large room. Modern feel, spacious and great bathroom. Has a small balcony with great views of Loch Ness, ideal to sit out and enjoy the peaceful and quiet. We were surprised to find a small fridge in the wardrobe with fresh milk, nice touch, also has a safe. Breakfast was a self serve continental, was good , but maybe expected something a little bit more bespoke, but no complaints. You can access the shoreline of Loch Ness and walk up/down the pebble beach. Enjoyed our stay.

Fantastic B&B in a lovely quiet loch side location, the property goes directly into the loch and even has benches where guests can sit (we enjoyed a bottle of wine overlooking the Loch) The rooms are spacious and well equipped. It’s nice to have a fridge with fresh milk in to make tea/coffee. It’s self serve breakfast but not cooked Scottish. Plenty of cereals (homemade orange and fig granola was lovely) and toast/bagels, yoghurts etc The owners are lovely and friendly and made our stay feel very homely. We will definitely stay again.

This property is stunning. It’s based right by Loch Ness and so you gain a beautiful view with your room. We had the king room downstairs which was decked out with a beautiful purple colour scheme and was both spacious and warm. The bathroom was also huge and clearly this room is available as an accessible room as the shower was wet room in style. Due to us visiting during the covid era the property manager had set up a breakfast box within our room with homemade blueberry muffins, cereal options, fruit and milk, juice and yoghurt stored in the rooms own small fridge. There was nothing that I could pick fault with in terms of the location or the room. Everything was beautiful and I truly wished we had an extra night at this site.

My partner and I stayed here for one night at the start of our NC500 trip. We received a very friendly welcome, the room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. We walked along to the Dores Inn for dinner which took about 25 minutes and the food was delicious. The breakfast in the B&B was in room due to Covid-19 measures but it was fresh and tasty. The view from the room was beautiful but sadly we didn't have the weather to enjoy it as it was so cloudy and foggy. We would definitely stay here again.

The house was absolutely brilliant, the breakfast was wondeful and the view is to die for. Waking up in the morning to the fresh air and taking a walk down by the water is a great way to start your day or end your night. Definitely recommend staying here and enjoying the scenery.
