When you enter this hotel you will be entering a 1960 communist style hotel. No atmosphere at all. Friendly staff however. The room is better than you expect after the first impression when you enter the hotel. Clean, a small balcony and because of the balcony door (with a screen door) you can enjoy the fresh air. Electricity is only...

Stayed one night - no hot water. Woken up at 5:30 am by loud blaring marching music and loudspeaker screaming, coming from another area. The food at lunch was decent, but I was happy to check out and move on.

Breakfast was good with the food more towards a Western palate. Dinner...

I stayed here for one night in September 2013 as I was on the way from Haeju to Nampo. Hotel was very good for North Korean standards. Spacious room (but poorly lit, as everywhere in the DPRK). Bathroom was a bit of kitch due to its yellow marble. No problems with water supply. I had dinner at the hotel which...

My sister and I stayed at this hotel in September 2012, as part of a tour of North Korea. We arrived at the hotel at night after a long drive in the countryside. The staff were nice, and we had an ok meal for dinner and went to bed. The bed was comfortable, with a fetching child's duvet cover on...

We stayed here as a group touring the DPRK. So the story goes: "The Great Leader, President Kim Il Sung declared 8 March as Ladies Day so a hotel was built in Sariwon so ladies (and foreigners) could view the sights" Huge rooms. We had an anti-room leading into a TV lounge with a club leather settee and armchairs leading...
