To be welcome with my family in the River Garden is a matter of heart for me. Our hostess offers guests much more as the key for the refuge under the roof of their atmospheric house, a kingdom of privacy. So you can benefit from a whole bunch of keys in her hand due to their profession and varied interests....

Dear 'Not so light luggage', Thank you so much for revisiting River Garden. It was wonderful to see you and your family back after a year. Hopefully there will be an other opportunity to meet in the future. Meanwhile, all the best, many happy travels and a very happy and healthy life to all three of you! With love, Margreet

We spent three nights at River Garden and LOVED our stay! The third floor apartment, which looks out over the peaceful river and Zaanse Schans is just perfect with tons of natural light and lovely decorating details. It was well stocked with tea and coffee, kitchen amenities, and anything else we needed. Breakfast was generous and delicious, served with a...

We stayed at this lovely place for three nights in May. They had recently added a little kitchenette to the upstairs and that was a very nice addition. I loved all of the skylights and windows which made staying on the top floor of this historic house very enjoyable. The beds were super comfortable. I had the front bedroom and...

We had a fantastic weekend in zaandijk. The accommodation was really top notch and the hosts, Margreet and Robert were helpful and fonts of knowledge. Some great local food available as well as a short train journey (15 mins) into Amsterdam central if required. We attended the seasonal afternoon music concerts on lagedijk including one hosted by Margreet and Robert...

Truly an incredible experience. As expected, Zaandijk is gorgeous. But what really made this stand out as a phenomenal B&B was the graciousness of the hosts. They were kind enough to help translate a menu (then bluntly tell us not to go there) and go out of their way to drive us to a neighboring town when we couldn't find...

I had the pleasure of a 2-night stay here last month. We were 4 people in total- my husband, my mom, my 2-month old baby, and myself. The rooms are beautifully appointed, with stunning views. Breakfast was one of the best I've had in Holland! And the hosts, Margreet and Robert, are so gracious, sweet, interesting, and warm. This is...

An excellent B&B within 17 minutes by train from the centre of Amsterdam in a village with a beautiful view over a broad canal and active windmills. The house is almost next to the historical Zaanse Schans with old typical dutch houses and several active windmills (sawmill, musterdmill, pigmentmill). Plan to visit this attraction when it is quiet; So, early...

The rooms are perfect (they really are) and the photos shown here are 100% true - it really is such a beautiful place and the scenery is breathtaking! The B&B is very close to the attraction Zaanse Schans and is definitely in ~10-15 min walking distance (asian girls speed). The location itself may not be the most convenient if you...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
SPECIAL DEAL: STAY 3 NIGHTS, GET 10% DISCOUNT, STAY 4 NIGHTS, GET 15% DISCOUNT. B&B River Garden with sensational views on 'Zaanse Schans' is very close to Amsterdam Center (17 min. by train), famous 'Keukenhof' and Schiphol Airport. In a beautiful old building from 1896, on the banks of the river 'Zaan', you will find on the topfloor two very comfortable, spacious rooms. All original details are restoured in the house. In both guestrooms a historic atmosphere is matched with modern comfort. Because of its rich history, the 'Zaanstreek' is very interesting. B&B River Garden is situated in the middle of that history, opposite historic 'Zaanse Schans' with views on 7 working windmills. In the close vicinity are several small but interesting musea. There are restaurants and cafe's within walking distance. Further away some gastronomic delights can be found. We will gladly inform you about them. We can also provide you with many inside tips about things to do and places to go in Amsterdam as we used to live there ourselves. The spacious 'Zaan' room (25 square meters) with double bed, has a great view on the Zaanse Schans, the river 'Zaan' and the grasslands. The 'Dijk' room (15 square meters) with two single beds, overlooks the village. Between the two rooms is a spacious landing were you can sit and work. Here you will also find a cupboard, pantry and the bathroom. Both rooms are on the 2nd floor. ... more   less
