Friendly and helpful staff and most of all, very safe and secure. You don't have to worry leaving your valuables inside. Cheap accommodation not far from the beach with good food nearby. Recently renovated and continuing to upgrade. We will defiantly stay there when we come back.

Had a romantic dinner by myself in front of the sea ... and what a moon! They kindly served me a delicious dinner based on corn and eggplant stuffed with tomatoes and onions ... all on a banana leaf. Super. I could even enjoy music coming from a nearby local. What else?

There were four of us and we only spent P2400 for 2 nights in a fan room (nipa hut like); P800 / night for 2 and additional P200/ extra person. The bathroom was also wide (where it's possible to sleep) and cool. I think the place is good for sleeping (despite not being A/C), bathing and where we can leave... More

Cheap rooms, not very much space, but sufficient if you are going for a beach trip. Clean and A/C ok. Staff fairly friendly, but it's great to be this close to the beach. Restaurent is another owner and daytime is not the best, but the BBQ at night is absolutely great.

The Playa Blanca de Astoria is a very small collection of three rooms on the beach sandwiched between "Birdwatchers" and "Lost Horizons". We booked the room at the back which had a big bedroom with fan and air-con and an attached large shower-room with clam-shell sink (but not hot-water) and a verandah for Php800 per night. There was also a... More

Terrible food. Terrible service. When we complained about the food quality they said thats how they cook it. The chicken adobo was more bones than meat. The vegetables were floating on uncooked flour. Basically inedible, disgusting food. Worst of all they wont acknowledge our complaint. I have been in many places around the philippines and around the world and this... More

I definitely recommend this place for those who are looking for a great beachfront accommodation along Alona beach and yet working on a tight budget. We've been here together with family and friends (a group of 26 persons) and we find the place relaxing. The rooms and comfort rooms are clean and the owner is very accommodating to our needs.... Playa Blanca boasts of no frills, simple accommodations, and cheap rates but great beachfront location, right along Alona Beach. Cottages are in simple design. Most rooms can accommodate 3 persons. A double bed and a single bed. Beds are not the thick mattress kind but just a single layer of foam. The bathrooms are clean, no hot water though. Also,... More
