What a fantastic hotel, we had a lovely room, looking over the loch and monument. Nice little welcome pack with water, fruit and biscuits. Our meal and breakfast were outstanding, comfy bed , helpful staff - will most definitely be back. The viaduct and monument are all within walking distance and the Harry Potter steam train passes several times a day.

We stayed here for a long weekend, pairing it with the hike up Ben Nevis. The room was excellent, with great views over the loch. Service was second to none - with the staff helping us out at every turn. Particualr shout out goes to Ross who gave a brillaint service. Food was amazing - good choice, very flavoursome, great protions and realistic value for money. Will return

We stayed here for two night in The Jacobite Suite. The room itself was lovely, the comfiest bed I’ve ever slept in, fantastic views and a jacuzzi bath. We ate dinner and breakfast in the hotel and all the food was great with lovely local produce, the fish dishes in particular I would recommend. The staff were all very friendly and professional, particularly the young male waiter, nothing was too much trouble. We even saw stags on the lawn at dusk. Would highly recommended the hotel can’t wait to return.

A beautiful location, superb quality food, comfortable room. Seeing a young stag visiting the garden while having breakfast was a bonus. Worth coming prepared for midges outside (when there is no breeze). Trips on the Koch and the railway were highlights.

We stayed for two nights in the Jacobite Suite. The suite was spacious and well maintained. There is an extra room with single bed which we didn’t use. The only downside of this suite is that it is located above the bar and some noise can be heard from below, especially when they have music playing in the evenings. They say the bar closes at 10.30 pm but we heard music on Saturday night until closer to 11 pm. Staff were friendly and welcoming, especially a young lad from Dundee who was very chatty and made sure the fire was constantly topped up with wood whilst we enjoyed a couple of late afternoon whiskeys. The fire policy was a little unclear whilst we stayed and was only lit the second night. There is a single menu served in the bar and restaurant. We were expecting a separate restaurant menu but it wasn’t an issue since there was a wide selection and the food was good. I would recommend the venison burger if it is still on the menu - one of the best burgers I have had. If staying, given breakfast is served in the dining room I would recommend having dinner in the cosy bar given it is the same menu. I would stay here again but probably not in the Jacobite Suite given it’s location above the bar.
