Perfectly located, fabulous views and great apartment.
Stayed here for 3 nights, we had booked another Cabot apartment, Las Velas but we’re told a few weeks before the renovations wouldn’t be finished in time. We were moved to Hobby club and weren’t disappointed. We stayed in 304 a deluxe apartment on two floors, great sea views and pool views. Apartment was clean, modern and equipped with everything we needed, we loved the roof terrace, unfortunately it was extremely windy the weekend we were there so didn’t get to spend as much time up there as we’d like., I will say the hot tub in the terrace, isn’t the same style used to in the uk. It was a round jacuzzi bath, quite shallow but still fun.

We have just come back from 11 nights at the Hobby Club and we had an excellent stay. The apartments feel like they have been recently refurbished and refreshed. The rooms were spacious and the mini kitchen had everything you would need for making breakfasts/lunch etc. Pool area was nice with plenty of sunbeds available for everyone. We went out to various beaches every day so didn't use the pool much but the bar was reasonably priced for drinks. There is a little kids splash pool and what I did like was that there was a life guard on duty. Making it an all round suitable base for couples and families with kids. Another little bonus is on arrival in the room is that there is a new sponge and a small washing up liquid in a little bag which actually came in useful.

Locationwise - on the map may look like the Hobby Club is a bit far out from the town however it only takes about 20 minutes to walk to the centre, and its a nice flat walk along the pedestrianised beach front. The road outside is now one way and not that busy so there isn't much road noise between the Hotel and the Beach in-front. There is a bus stop 5 minutes walk away which can take you anywhere you want. Plenty of off street parking adjacent to the hotel if you need it. There is also a mini supermarket next door that sells all the essentials.

My only feedback would be it would had been nice if we had a visit from the maid a bit more often, but the friendly reception staff have plenty of clean towels/sheets/toilet tissue etc if you need anything further. In 11 nights we only had the maid visit twice.

I would highly recommend the Hobby Club as it makes a great 'base' for a fantastic holiday. Finally, a special thanks to Antonia the lovely receptionist who was always smiling, helpful and friendly.

My wife and myself have just returned from a 5 night stay at Hobby Club Apartments. If you find, like us, somewhere like Alcudia is far too busy and built up this is the ideal location. It is immediately opposite a lovely sandy beach that takes 30 seconds to walk to from the apartments where there are lifeguards on duty with public toilets on the beach. We paid a little extra for a room facing the beach which we found to be money well spent. The rooms are fairly basic but have everything you need, a small kitchen area with all the necessary utensils provided, a dining table to sit four, and a sofa in front of the good sized television. The bedroom was spacious with a few draws for storage, a clothes hanging area, a full size mirror, a small television and a safe. The bathroom was also a good size with a double size walk in shower with the choice of either a rain shower or traditional shower head. We understood the room would be serviced after three days of occupancy but ours was done every two days which was a nice unexpected bonus.
The outdoor pool has a children's area as well as the full size pool for adults with a life guard on duty whenever the pool was open, sun beds are provided as well as double outdoor beds with curtain shading if the sun becomes a bit too hot. There is a nice indoor seating area in reception with a bar as well as tables and chairs in an undercover area just outside reception, along with a pool table and air hockey table. Bicycle hire is also on site.
We hired a car and there is plenty of free unrestricted parking immediately to the front, side and rear of the apartments as well as the surrounding streets. All the staff we came in to contact with were very friendly and helpful, and there appeared to be two maintenance guys going around making sure everything was just as it should be. Ben, the Jet2 holiday rep is available in reception area from 8-9 am most days and is really helpful and a great source of information having lived there for the past 27 years.
There are plenty of restaurants within a 15-25 minute walk with the main harbour area a 25-30 minute walk northwards, lots of shops, busses and taxis should you need them. There is a Spar shop immediately next to the apartments open until 9pm.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this as a budget place to stay for your holiday and if we return to Port de Pollenca we would stay here.

We stayed at the Hobby Club hotel after being transferred from Hotel Flora in the main town and were very impressed by the hotel. The room was fresh and clean with maid visits every three days, the pool and pool area was spacious and you could distance from others and there was an area for kids to play arcade games. Also, being right opposite the beach was very useful. However, the hotel bar had the same staff member as the reception area which meant that only one member of staff was working at one time which was very awkward because if you were getting ice lollies they would’ve melted by the time you were served. But one of the members of staff (which I recall her name was Antonia) was very friendly and helpful when checking out or just getting drinks at the bar. There was also a wide range of amazing restaurants and beach bars which I would highly recommend visiting. To conclude, our stay was very good at the Hobby Club and we would definitely return!

It is a real pleasure to know that you have enjoyed your holidays in our CABOT Hobby Club apartments. We have the distances between sunbeds so that there are no problems and keep the distance. The safety of our clients comes first. We have a location just in front of the sea that makes it special. We will pass your comment to Antonia who will surely appreciate it. The hotel is in a great location in a quiet area but 15-20min walk to restaurants, shops and marina. The apartment was good, little kitchen great to allow us to have breakfast at the apartment, kids slept on sofa bed (would watch out as might be tight for teenagers, but absolutely find for kids), air conditioning just in the living room, but bedroom stayed cool with the door open. Pool area is great, never had issues to find a sunbed. Employees all very nice and helpful. The only thing that could be improved is the cleaning during the stay (apartment was clean and in great condition when we arrived), it is done every other day and it would be good to have it daily and more thorough to get all the sand that accumulates on the floor. The beach is just across the street and is lovely, cristal waters and great for snorkeling. There is a grocery shop next door that is very handy. Overall we had a great stay and would love to come back in the future!

This apartment has some good points, but also some bad points. On arrival our room was not ready which is fair enough as we were there by 1pm. However it was being cleaned and when we eventually got into the room I found it to be filthy. I had to then spend over an hour cleaning the kitchen area and the bathroom. The sofa in the living room had not been refreshed and did smell very musty. The accommodation is to a fair standard but not worth the price charged in my opinion. There is limited storage in the apartment and if you are sleeping in the pull-down bed in the living room there is absolutely nowhere to store your clothes. If you sleep in the living area during the night, it was very difficult to get to sleep because the fridge makes a noise throughout the night. Also for me the noise of the barking dogs outside never ceased during the night. The house on the corner opposite the apartments let their dogs into the garden during the night and they bark from approximately 11 pm until 5 am the following morning. The apartment needs to talk to the local community about sleeping arrangements. The cleaning staff come every second day and only one lady actually cleaned it properly during my stay. They rarely replenish toilet paper and I had to go and buy my own.

I found the general areas fairly dirty. The swimming area was never cleaned in the week that I was there, the sunbeds are grimy and dirty. There are large comfortable day beds however they are filthy and soiled. I found the toilet in the reception area, untidy and dirty. There was no hand soap and there were no paper towels. This is nothing to do with the apartment but Something I found overall in port de Pollenca was that cafes, bars and even good class restaurants do not have hand, soap or hand towels, and I found myself asking for them in every establishment that I visited on my weeks holiday. No one can be washing hands in restaurants after going to the bathroom!!! Again something for the apartment management to raise with the community is that In general I found the whole town pretty uninterested in visiting tourists. Fact is no tourists no town.

The reception staff were all very friendly and for me the close location of the beach was fantastic. You would benefit by employing bar staff and perhaps some music around the pool. It could be so much better. I’m very disappointed.

We had a nice week in a swim up apartment at the Hobby Club. The apartments are furnished with everything you would expect - kitchen had enough for us to make some pasta, meatballs etc in the evenings and eat it on the large terrace that approached the swim up pool. The addition of a Nespresso machine is quite nice, but they only give you 2 pods, so you can buy more in a bigger supermarket. The bed was comfy, the bathroom was fine (though could use some TLC at the end of the season), and everything was spotlessly clean when we arrived.

The location is great - literally across the road to the beach. The pool was pretty cold in October, so it was great to set up base on the Bali sun beds and hop across the road to nip in the sea, before returning to sit in the sun again. There are also some restaurants very close to the hotel which are worth a look too. The supermarket next door is far more expensive than other options but good to pick up a few basics.

The swim up apartments have a nice big terrace, much bigger than the standard rooms which is great and there are two loungers to use which are private. The swim up pool attached to the apartment was nice too, but needed to be used at the right time to get the sun. One problem for the swim up apartments was that they face East so only get sun for a bit of the day. But there was always space around the pool on a lounger if you want the full sun experience.

Staff were great, accommodating and very nice at all times we interacted.

There is some noise between rooms that often starts quite early (furniture scrapes etc.) when people are leaving to go to the airport but you can't really hear voices or anything.

We had a hire car for the whole week - we didn't use it much and parking outside the hotel was no problem at all.

Overall, we enjoyed our time here. Hobby Club is a nice example of a self catering apartment which we would come back to and recommend to others.

Lovely spacious apartments. If you can I recommend the suites with the whirlpool and Balinese beds. Even the side views have a great outlook.
We were a family of 4 with two almost teenage children. Sofa bed was a bit small and would recommend two bedrooms if anything more than little children.
Staff very accommodating and able to help with local tours, taxis. Small bat also available. Our parents had another apartment in the block consistent with ours but with a full sea view which was great for the morning sun but lost the sun in the afternoon.
Great location if you don’t mind a 20 mins walk into puerto pollensa otherwise cabs are reasonable and readily available thru reception.
Tamerells beach opposite is great. Would definitely come back.

We are just back from a 5 night stay in the Hobby Club Apartment. We had a absolutely fabulous stay. The apartments have everything that you would want from a beautiful Sea View to a well equipped kitchen. They are clean and well maintained with towels and sheets being changed every third day. Fantastic shower and lovely bedroom. The reception staff are lovely, we arrived late about 11.30am and were the last to check in. The receptionist couldn't do enough for us. The pool is cleaned every day and has a lifeguard on duty whenever it is open. The water in the pool is very cold but you do have the Sea across the road. The complex is a good 20 minute walk to the center of the port, but that suited us perfectly as we enjoy walking.
We would must currently return.

Great location directly across the road from a lovely beach. Spa shop minutes away that is well stocked for all your basic needs, even has a bakery counter for fresh baguettes, cakes, pizzas. Rooms are adequate with good air conditioning in the main living area, but not the bedroom. Very comfy mattresses. However the rooms have very poor noise insulation. You can hear every chair, table etc being moved across the floor from rooms surrounding you. The majority of this noise is caused by the cleaners who start work early in the morning till the afternoon. We could also hear the conversations of the people in the room next to us! The pool is clean and well looked after. The pool area gets very busy but there was no problem getting a sun bed or a Balinese bed. Main restaurants are 15 minutes walk away. 25 minutes walk to the centre of Pollensa. Puerto Pollensa is lovely to walk round on a night time. Personally we would stay in Puerto Pollensa again but not at the Hobby Club apartments as not peaceful due inadequate noise insulation between rooms/floors.
