Having booked flights over a year ago and the accommodation in March 2021, we weren't sure until a couple of weeks before departure date whether we would actually be having our holiday. The fact that we had stayed at Habitat on two occasions previously meant that at least we knew what to expect as far as accommodation was concerned. On arrival we quickly realised just what an effect Covid had had: reception was only open for limited hours and the bar / restaurant area was closed till next year. None of that actually bothered us. We were warmly welcomed by the receptionist who went out of her way to explain how we could get help if we needed it when reception was closed. We had an apartment overlooking the second pool as requested and we quickly eased into the routine of a peaceful and relaxing holiday. The shortage of guests meant the place was very quiet and we could easily make ourselves comfortable anywhere in the grounds. Wifi in our apartment was unreliable, but ironically the problem was sorted on our last day (though we hadn't complained), at which point it became very good. We would agree that there is evidence of a little fraying at the edges in places, but the grounds are very well maintained. For a first foreign holiday in more than eighteen months the familiarity and unpretentiousness of Habitat suited us very well.

Please note that the questions below relating to Covid measures do not totally apply because apart from the reception area, all access points are out of doors.

Would like to say a huge thank you for the hotel staff. Carmen the receptionist was very helpful.Always with a smile on her face . We stayed as a family of 6 . We really enjoyed our holiday . Nice & tidy apartment.Beautiful & quiet area. You don’t need to reserve the sunbeds by pool an early morning, they were always available. Not much people at all stayed in hotel . The one thing we needed is a bar or restaurant, they were closed because of COVID . Hotel didn’t serve any food . But it wasn’t an issue. An easy access to local bus . We definitely can recommend this place .

Stayed with 5 cycling friends (2appts) 8-12 Sept. two travellers suffered from bites during the night which were either ants of bed bags.

The apartments look a little tired and could do with some basic maintenance. Shower was dodgy, the toilet door needs easing, air con issues, ants everywhere. We were on the top floor and there was a very worrying huge crack through the wall and floor on the top landing.

Due to COVID the reception closed at 5 which was difficult for us as we were cycling and were back after 5. No reception on Sunday’s to hand back keys.

The beds were comfy, kitchen was basic but clean with all utensils.

We did not use the pool as every night a couple of ducks would arrive and promptly drop the contents of their stomach around the pool and in it.

The receptionist was extremely helpful on arrival and got us checked in very quickly, did not see any other staff. The room was cleaned once during our 5 day stay.

It’s a bit of a walk to town that wasn’t an issue for us but frequent busses pass.

Have stayed in the Duva next door which was better.

COVID has had a effect on the Habitat and Duva as there were very few people staying and not many facilities available at both sites.

We all love Pollenca as a location.

After reading trip advisor reviews I was sceptical however, clean minimalist apartments, cleaners came every other day. Adequate cooking facilities (no oven) we managed fine as a family of five. If you can actually cook and don't rely on an oven do pizza and chips it works okay. plenty of pans, plates, glasses and utensils. Fantastic pools, as good as I've come across, my six year old learned to swim and my 14 and 18 year old were more than happy, appropriately deep, clean loads of space, plenty of loungers. Friendly staff, didn't see much of them to be honest as didn't need to but when called upon they were great. Location was fantastic, easy to find, easy to get out of to explore the island, 10 minute walk to beach. All in all very good value for money.

Not my best choice.
Best & Worst Bits:
Very basic, clean, friendly staff. Garden area well maintained 2 nice swimming pools. Neither had more then six people in at a time whilst we were here. Plenty of sunloungers no need to get up early to save. Apartment small beds hard shower was brilliant plenty of hot water all the time. Air con worked occasionally, doors and windows must be shut to do so. Although ours only worked when it felt like it. Wifi drops out constantly untill I reset it. Literally on a main A road to Palma huge roundabout outside our balcony you can not sit on as so loud and busy. Bus stop outside window with buses every 20 minutes or so.The port is a good 15 minute walk ok if your upto it but wouldn't fancy doing it with small children along the main road although we did find an alternative.
Small supermarket across the road a pub restaurant good company and food. Would I come again NO way

Spent a week at Habitat Apartments. Very clean and spacious with regular maid service. The bathroom had a bath and shower and what a powerful shower. The apartments are split into three blocks of about 40 each with a swimming pool for each block. The pool at our block was shallow at one side then seemed to go down like a ski run to the deep end which made my sister-in-law wary of going in too far.
On the down side no air conditioning so suffered at night from the heat. We were 2 up and no lift but only problem was when arriving and leaving with suitcases. Thought it a bit odd as there were metal shutters on the outside of the patio doors and bedroom window which you lowered from the inside of the apartment. We assumed they were for security purposes and felt we had to lower them everytime we went out and also at night so felt a bit claustrophobic. Pool was never crowded and always managed to get sunbeds. No umbrellas but shade from the trees if required. Couldn't fault reception staff who were more than helpful about anything we asked. Didn't eat there as we always went into town as it was a nice walk and took about 15-20 minutes. Music from all the entertainment around the apartments was very loud but finished at midnight so not too bad. Puerto Pollenca is a lovely place with plenty of restaurants and the Pine Walk is beautiful. Visited old town of Pollenca and it was lovely. Climbed the 365 steps to the top where there is a lovely little church and beautiful views. All in all an enjoyable stay.

We just returned on Saturday from Puerto Pollensa and stayed at the Habitat Apartments for two weeks, which are situated just back from the main road leading into the resort. The walk along the cycle path or pavement takes about 10 minutes, and the other road to the beach about 15 minutes, not really long at all, but it is a very busy main road to cross, especially if you had young children with you, but there are designated crossing areas.

As far as the apartments are concerned it was coming to the end of the season and they were preparing to close therefore it was not that busy, but Duva the sister hotel was. The apartments themselves are adequately stocked with the basic essentials for self catering, they are quite large apartments but there was just the two of us and we had two bedrooms and the rest of the apartment to ourselves, furniture wise it was basic, clean but not spotless, looked as though it had seen a lot of visitors throughout the year with a quick changeover and not much time to really be cleaned properly. A large balcony which overlooked the childrens pool, and the larger pool which is very deep, but is sometime used for people learning to dive. The pool at the other apartments was much better.

Our bedding and towels were changed regularly and we had no complaints, the pool area and surrounds are cleaned every morning, but it is a bit shabby with old broken beds lying around, and not enough umbrella's. The staff are very nice and friendly, and any complaints dealt with immediately, except the ants, we were given a spray after we complained, and no matter how much we used it they kept coming back in their droves, in the kitchen, on the worktops, in the bathroom. From what we were told by staff that they were having a holiday for a couple of weeks, then all the apartments were being decorated and refurnished during the winter. We met some really nice people who were staying at the same time who had been coming to the apartments for years with no complaints, and that helps make your holiday. Puerto Pollensa itself it wonderful, so relaxing and peaceful, the beaches are spotless and so well cared for. Eating out price wise is about on par with UK.

Eroski supermarket is 5 minutes down the road and sells everything you may need. On the whole we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday, but by the end of two weeks of ants, ants, and more ants, I was glad to be going hame to my ain wee hoose.

Not bad for a budget holiday considering the price of apartments in Puerto Pollensa itself.

I have just returned after a disastrous 8 night stay at Habitat. Unfortunately, due to the poor security at these apartments, my wife couldn't come home and had to fly to her native Norway.

On our second day here we were advised to rent a safe key from reception so we did. Inside the safe we placed our passports, English currency, jewellery, watches, mobile phone and travel documents. We then went out for dinner. When we returned the entire safe had been stolen from the bedroom. The intruder had climbed up the easily accessible balconies to our apartment and forced the unlockable bedroom window. The thief clearly knew the location of the safe because nothing else from the apartment was taken (i-pod, laptop etc) and the safe had been removed from the wall. As you can imagine, we were distraught and went to reception where the night porter, Juan, informed us that "It is a lottery, today you lose!" He didn't seem in the slightest bit surprised at the theft and suggested we come back and speak to the manager, Carmen, the following morning. Carmen was as helpful as she could be but again, didn't seem surprised. We demanded to change apartments and were offered a safe in the new one. After checking and discovering that the safe was loosely attached to plasterboard behind the wardrobe we declined (not that we had anything to put in the safe!) We were given 300 Euro compensation (from an estimated total loss value of £1200) and told to visit the Guardia Civil to make a statement. I won't bore you with the comedy of the 3 days it took to get this completed - plus a trip to Palma to get an emergency passport - but it was 3 days lost from our holiday. We then discovered that safety deposit boxes were situated in reception. why weren't we offered one of those in the first place? Bobby, from the White Rose Bar across the road told us that he was sick of guests at Habitat being burgled because it reflected badly on the area and his business too. he said that the same crime has happened on a number of occasions this summer. Quite simply, the management at Habitat have failed to address basic security needs and don't seem to care. I also suspect that a member of staff is involved with co-ordinating these thefts. A dream holiday that we worked so hard for was completetly ruined and to cap it all my Norwegian wife had to fly back to Norway to get a new passport because her emergency documents wouldn't allow her to enter the UK despite her living here!

All I can say is that Pollensa is a beautiful place but Apartmentos Habitat is one huge scab on the landscape. Never again.

We were looking forward to our stay at these apartments having read some good reviews. However, unfortunately we were not so lucky. On arrival (at 1.30am) we were told by the night porter that there was ‘a problem’ with our room and we would have to go and stay at the Duva Hotel for the first night. To be fair these things happen and the apartment offered us a free breakfast the next morning to make up for it. The next morning we were called by reception at 10am and told that we had to leave the Duva as they needed the room (even though our apartment was still not ready), so off we went back to the Habitat for our breakfast (which was finished)! We had to wait for a couple of hours until our apartment was ready but when it was, it was fine and we settled into our holiday hoping to enjoy our stay.
On the fourth night of our stay we returned from our evening out at about midnight to discover that our apartment door had been kicked in and we had been burgled! Whilst we were waiting for the police to come our neighbours in the next apartment returned and they had also been burgled, their safe had been broken into and they had lost all of their money and credit cards. We also found out a little later on that a third family had been broken into.
Whilst these things do happen and it is unfortunate you do expect a little support. However, we were expected by the hotel staff to remain in an unsecured apartment (we could not even shut the door let alone lock it) and we had to insist that we were moved – a request that was initially refused until we begged the night staff to contact the manager. We were then moved again to the Duva where we spent the remaining 3 nights of our stay. Not ideal as the apartment we had to move to only had one bedroom and we had 2 older teenagers with us, but this was preferable to staying in the Habitat which has very poor security and lighting in place.
In summary; these apartments have nothing in the way of security, the lighting around the complex is very poor and although the actual apartments are fine the buildings and pool area are shabby and unappealing. This was our first visit to Majorca and the experience has put us off going back which is a shame as the island itself seems really nice.

I think they are both part of the same group. I don't know definitely whether you can use the facilities at Duva if you are staying at Habitat, but I do know that there are pathways from one to the other within the whole complex.
