This is a fabulous place to stay even though it has the look of a Russian building from the comments era. The food was great and the staff really helpful. Walking out of the Hotel takes you straight into a beautiful area of countryside

I think this is unacceptable. We have reserved 2 rooms, 5 month ahead of time. 6 weeks later they call to inform me that my reservations were made in error, they are overbooked, the lady blamed her colleague who accepted my reservation, and was NOT willing to help with finding a different accommodation near by as our dates are not...

We stayed here for 2 nights with a group of middle aged friends in May 2015. Cons: Slow wifi. No lift . Very old furniture in the room and partialy in bathroom. Pros: very good kitchen. Fridge in the room. Wellness, sauna, bowling. Very clean air with bird song. Good separation of rooms from noisy restaurants.

Ideally located from the entrance to the caves (within 200m of the entrance to the caves), but an outdated hotel. Clean rooms and friendly staff. Limited English but they're willing to try and converse (considering we couldn't speak any Hungarian..). If you come on a Monday the only place to eat is the hotel. The food is good and very...

Like others have said, if you want to be within walking distance of the Baradla Cave in Aggtelek and in a hotel (rather than a guesthouse), this is the place for you to stay. We never actually stayed here (deciding to stay in a local guesthouse instead), but did visit for dinner - it's one of very few places in...

First of all this is the only hotel if you want to stay at the cave of Aggtelek, the prices are quite high comparing with the local prices and the quality of the room. I think the last renovation of the rooms were in the 80s, so everything is quite used but at least the staff is friendly, bed linens...

We booked a standard room for 2 people at about 50 euros one night. The room is comfortable, clean and equipped with big closet and TV. The view is great, the air is fresh, perfect for us to have a glass of wine together (the glasses are borrowed from the bar). The madam who owns the hotel can speak Germany...

The pros; Walking distance from the main cave at Aggtelek, their version of a cordon bleu, made with pork and awe cheese was to die for! staff very friendly. Very reasonably priced and offered late check-out free of charge. The cons: It is very old, the sauna/pool area closes so early it is not even worth the time after the...

First of all, this hotel isn't located in Eger, but in a little village named Aggtelek. The one and only advantage of this hotel is that it is located about 300 meters from the World Heritage's Site famous Cave of Aggtelek. The hotel interior, the service and the whole impression is like traveling back in time about 20 years -...

Can't recognize this as the same place that got those hostile reviews. Staff very helpful room comfortable and ensuite bathroom OK, no plug in wash basin but that's the norm for many hotels in this part of the world. Food good with more than you can eat the norm. In an ideal setting if you want to get away from...
