The best I have seen in many years. I can highly recommend. Conveniently located near Shopping, a short drive to main routes north and south. Quiet safe location with beautiful view of nature reserve. The road infrastructure is excellent, and quick to drive to main Shopping Centre (Pavilion), to Durban Beach and many other fun locations. Andy (host) is very...

The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, the small touches make it a place you will return to again and again. Ntengu Lodge; overlooking the Palmiet nature reserve in the heart of Westville, provides the perfect place to retreat to after a long business day. The Upper Room has an undercover balcony that overlooks an impressive vista of trees and the Palmiet valley that plunges far out of sight. The rooms are spacious with great attention to detail...and the pillows make...

Given the choice, I would always return to stay at Ngengu Lodge when in Durban. It is convenient to the highways, while being extremely quiet (on a nature reserve), and beautiful. The room (I always get the same one, downstairs at the entrance) is lovely, with a view, and tiny patio to end the day while watching the sun go...

Chosen because of its location but proved to be so much more. Room was extremely comfy with the extra long bed and superb view into the bush. smiled when told to beware of the monkeys which did troop past our balcony. Breakfast was extremely good and enjoyed sitting out in the warm winter sun next to the pool. As the...

I used to stay at Ntengu Lodge on a regular basis but have not done so for the past 3 years as business has not taken me back to Durban until last week. It was a last minute booking and Andrew luckily could accommodate me. As usual, the attention to detail is faultless and the hospitality out of this world....

We have stayed at Ntengu 4 times over the last 10 years and we have come to consider this our home away from home in Durban. Great rooms, excellent breakfasts and fantastic service. Whilst the majority of the patrons are business travellers, the lodge is also perfectly suited to tourists. There are six rooms, some with their own private outdoor...

I stayed here recently over a weekend, and ended up with the entire place to myself - it seems that it generally attracts more of a weekday business crowd. I found it a very pleasant stay all in all - the room was large and very comfortable with a nice deck overlooking the valley, the house itself is also very...

I tried Ntengu because of the TripAdvisor recommendations and wasn't let down at all. The staff are friendly and welcoming without being too obtrusive. The rooms are lovely and well equipped. Best of all was the delicious breakfast - gourmet food that got my day off to a great start. Ntengu will certainly become my new regular basr when I...
